Cheetara!
Nick and More is having its annual Best New Show of the Year readers vote right now, and I'm asking the Young Justice and ThunderCats fan community on Tumblr and beyond to make sure those two shows make it to the top 10 second round.
Why?
Because I want the fans to send this message to Cartoon Network:
We don't like the way you're treating those shows.
Both Young Justice and ThunderCats have been treated rather shabbily by the network over the year. Both are barely advertised when they're showing new episodes, and to be honest, Cartoon Network takes the fans of that show for granted, especially the older viewers of the show (it IS TV-PG, which means that, typically, more adults than kids would be watching it . . . unless TV-PG really IS a cool-looking TV-Y7).
I think the Tumblr fan communities of Young Justice and ThunderCats are strong, and I think both should unite to send a message to Cartoon Network by declaring those two shows the best of 2011.
Right now, N&M is asking for three show votes. For two of 'em, put ThunderCats and Young Justice in. Young Justice fans should also put a vote in for ThunderCats and ThunderCats fans should also put in a vote for Young Justice.
The third show is your choice. I like Looney Tunes and Gumball myself, but I won't influence that choice.
Just want to put Young Justice and ThunderCats in the top 10 by a big number.
Shout it from the rooftops or your Tumblr feed, but put them both in and help them win. Vote!
