It very much makes sense for Lucifero (LuLu) to still be alive, since just as with Zagred, the heart wasn’t destroyed. Yes it was removed from the body, but it wasn’t destroyed. Which leaves the question of what the heart is going to be used for. Perhaps to control LuLu? Or some other form? To steal LuLu’s power?
Since there is another, although smaller, time skip between the Spade and Final Arc, my money isn’t on stealing LuLu’s heart by consuming it, because otherwise it would be sensible to have done so already. Unless Astaroth wants to be the one to consume it, and is for some reason unable to do so at this time. So, perhaps control. In any case, there is a reason to keep LuLu alive.
Which brings the cycle back to who, or what, JuLu (Julius/Lucius) is. I am betting that there is a reason why his grimoire cover was shown to such detail, since Julius’ grimoire was shown to float around as an endless loop (in the manga) and hovering over the castle in an enormous size (in anime). It almost feels like Tabs is serving it out on a plate, but what it means is yet to be found out. (The other grimoire that is, although a lot more subtly served in my opinion, is Nacht’s Clover-less grimoire. Even the Witch Queen has a clover on hers, so I doubt that it was a mistake to leave it out.)
The sun on JuLu’s forehead is a hint I’m sure, just as Julius’ star was. Even if magical markings on one’s face still aren’t that strange in Clover. Specifically a black sun is apparently used to “illuminate the dissolution of the body “ according to Wikipedia, which could play into the idea of creating an undying body.
However, the symbol is also used for the element of, you guessed it: gold.
And sal ammonia, the mark on Julius’ forehead, (or salmiakki), was used in alchemy to dissolve… again, you guessed it: gold.
Make what you will of it.
So far my thoughts about the leaks. If you don’t want to read me gushing about how Fue definitely should be the next Wizard King in my personal opinion~
