-I can only imagine what he'd do if he felt threatened in anyway when it came to his boss and his job. He's already delusional enough about Chronostasis being so close to Chisaki. It's borderline obsession that can be taken from him being 'saved' by his boss. That's why when you enter the inner circle of the Hassaikai, he's immediately threatened by your presence. Who are you to join the great ranks of the 8 Precepts? It's the 8 Precepts for a reason, not the 9 precepts. What made you so special as a lower level grunt to have worked your way up like this? Shin has seen others struggle for years that have been here way longer than you and still not be moved up as quickly as you did.

-He sat for a long time contemplating this and what your quirk might be. Perhaps it was something extremely beneficial to the boss's plan...more beneficial than him? No of course not, that would be foolish...but still???

-He was even more displeased when he found out Overhaul would be putting you on team with him and Deidoro. Why couldn't you be with the others? There were plenty of suitable teams you could be on so why should he have to deal with you? What if you weren't good enough? What if you only ended up dragging him down and setting the group back? He already had his hands full with one idiot (*ahem* Deidoro), so why should he potentially have to deal with another? To his surprise, you weren't an idiot but instead much worse...cocky.

-You always made sure to smirk at him whenever a mission was completed and Overhaul complimented his work over Shin's own. Nemoto refused to be in your shadow yet that's where he seemed to find himself more and more these days. There was an imaginary ranking within each little team. It didn't take a rocket scientist to know he was above Deidoro. So now that he's behind you of all people, it really makes his blood boil. This causes him to complain to you and about you on a daily basis. He was a harass and you could only roll your eyes and smile. The two of you probably spat out more witty comebacks than Chrono and Mimic combined. You both worked well together when you weren't silently arguing or picking apart everything each other did. Neither of you would admit to the shift in tension after a particular mission that left you confused.

-One mission that landed you in hot water for the first time and ended with him having saved your ass. A mission than landed you in a hotel room with (yes I know...) only one bed. A mission in which you found yourself sitting on the bathroom floor while he tended to your wounds. Insults about how you need to be more careful shift to softer words, opening up to one another that happened so suddenly you were both confused as to what happened. Sleeping apart but waking up too close for comfort due to the heat going out in the middle of the night and the two of you seeking each others warmth for comfort unconsciously. Not a word exchanged for a day or two when you returned to the base.

-Suddenly Nemoto realized he was looking at you in a different light these days. He finds himself wondering where you are when you're not at work, texting to see if you were alright but following up with a snide remark to hide his relief in knowing you'd be back tomorrow. Buying lunches for each other and using the excuse that you didn't want to deal with a sluggish teammate...oh and not to mention Deidoro picking up on the energy lately and teasing the hell out of you two. Even your insults had become more like two partners playfully teasing each other rather than cut-throat insults. "How unfortunate..." Nemoto mumbles when he realized why he was taking so much care into his appearance this morning before work. "How unfortunate indeed."

-Yes it doesn't take a rocket scientist to realize when someone has fallen in love.

(I have a huge stuffed bear I got as a gift a long while ago that I was willing to cut open one day just for this prank and I was so sad when I realized I'm too tall to fit ugh😭)

-Pops: Old man probably didn't even notice the bear at first. That was until he realized he'd gotten you a totally different gift than this. He automatically assumed it must've been from someone else to you because you already knew all the things he liked and stuffed animals wasn't necessarily high on his list. Anyway, it's easy to say he had a mini heart attack when you surprised him with it.

-Overhaul: Pauses and glares at the bear in suspicion. Who the hell had the gall to get HIS significant other a gift bigger than he for Christmas? He is a tiny bit jealous and probably lets his mind run numbers as he figures out who to kill later. This must obviously be a move to try and court you, right? At the end of the night he ends up being annoyed at you rather than anyone else at the base. Really? Getting in a toy to scare him of all people?

-Chrono: Hope you liked being frozen for 30 minutes and having to listen to him apologize over and over because that's just what happened. Usually he had better control over his quirk but he was coming back from a mission that had him on edge and still weary about his surroundings. Oh well, better luck next time?

-Mimic: If he's in his small form (and he most likely will be) Then you get him pretty damn good. In fact, he thinks he might've almost died in the moment. Surely you should expect him cursing you out right now. It's been almost an hour and he's still grumbling about it. On the up-side, the others got a good laugh out of it lol.

-Nemoto: What was supposed to be a harmless prank ended up landing you a very long and detailed scolding about why you shouldn't go around doing this in a yakuza base. After than, Shin moved on to explaining why it wasn't safe to stuff yourself in bears because of the risk of suffocating. Surely enough, he was on to the next thing and you could only be stuck sighing and hoping the speech would be over soon.

-Deidoro: Gets a damn good kick out of it actually! I mean, if he's sober or drunk he thinks it was pretty funny. You two can tend to play around a lot with each other and this was the most creative you've gotten in a long time! Expect him to plan something even more wild when he gets a good idea sooner or later.

-Rappa: Also someone I see getting a good kick out of it! The only issue with trying this on Rappa is that surprise pranks don't usually end well. It's a life or death thing in the moment depending on whether or not you dodge or have a quirk (or not). That's because his first instinct upon surprise is to punch whoever or whatever it is that scares him.

-Tengai: I'll just go out on a limb and assume you do silly stuff like this all the time with him. That's why it's not as fun when he walks by the bear and sighs before telling you to get out of it. No fun with him because he KNEW you were up to something from the moment he heard you chuckle to yourself earlier today.

-Setsuno: Is slightly annoyed for a moment but doesn't try to show it because he doesn't want to risk hurting your feelings. Regardless of whether or not he liked the prank, he's going to laugh awkwardly and rub his arm. He won't really tell you to not do it again so it's up to you to pick up on his cues. If he does end up liking it then you'll see his more genuine reaction/smile.

-Hojo: Thinks about it for a second and then disregards it. It's just a bear right? Until you jump up and hear him yell for the first time in possibly forever. Oh yeah, he's annoyed for the rest of the day but your laughing in the background starts to cheer him up after a while.

-Tabe: He's examined this bear before you could think to slip yourself inside of it. That's why you find yourself rather confused at the dampness on the thing until you realize he examined it with his MOUTH.

-Katsukame: You're gonna scare him, really? You don't care about the fact that his fists both weigh more than you do? You're just gonna startle the guy without a single thought about the consequences? Great, okay...what color flowers would you like at your funeral?

(I would've thought I did a quirkless reader for him before but I'm admittedly too lazy to check my HIGHLY OUTDATED masterlist so fuck it. Let's do it anyway! Also, I hope it's fine I'm leaving the reader kinda open ended as usual so everyone can kinda insert themselves into this better. ~Kai's Quirkless Reader & the Hassaikai~

-Quirkless? Not that much of a shocker he'd fall for you. The boss being in a relationship? THAT is the shocker everyone hasn't managed to let go of just yet. In fact, most of his inner circle thinks he's holding you hostage while the other half wonders how you could've ever fallen for someone as rough as Overhaul in the first place. Did he even know how to date someone? Overhaul doing gentleman shit? Overhaul possibly kissing you one day or holding hands? Overhaul being in the same vicinity as someone else for longer than a few hours? There was a slew of gossiping he couldn't really shut down (or intimidate out of the men) for a very long time. He was trying to at least get it out of control before bringing you around to meet everyone for the first time.

-He took the time you introduce you considering he would have some of the members of the Hassaikai be your personal bodyguards or escorts when he couldn't join you out. Aside from this, he didn't really want you interacting with anyone else than himself. You were headstrong (or stubborn as he'd put it) and wanted on your own to develop meaningful relationships with his main group. Where he saw workers, you saw his friends despite him never calling them that. You wanted to be as important to them as he was. None of the men really complained since you were a breath of fresh air compared to Kai. With the help of Pops preventing Kai from killing the guys, you were able to try and get to know each of them.

-Hojo thought of you as a little sibling almost, no matter what your age is. You could literally be older than him and he'd still try to treat you like a little sister/brother/sibling. It was odd, but you didn't seem to mind how careful he was or protective nonetheless. Setsuno was a lot more careful with you since he didn't want to end up like mince meat. Had you not pushed hard for him to come out of his shell, you never would've learned all the wonderful parts of his personality aside from being a legitimate gang member. Tabe was more or less clingy to your kindness. This is especially true if you end up trying to greet him with something to eat. He adores you now.

-Rappa was actually pretty taken with you from the moment he met you. Someone brave enough to go against Overjerk's rules and do what they wanted regardless of the outcome? Oh yeah, he thinks that's fucking awesome of you. Tengai is more careful about guarding your feelings and still doesn't greet you by your first name even to this day. He also spends a lot of time scolding Rappa when he's around you since he's worried the big lug will offend you somehow.

-Nemoto has been and always will be the absolute most respectful with you. He greets you with the utmost proper manners and tries to make sure you have everything you might ever need whenever he's on duty for you. You've been trying for a long time to break down his walls and get him to chill out more but I doubt that'll happen anytime soon. Deidoro fucking loves you and loves even more the fact that he can be as crazy around you as he wants to be...well, as long as Nemoto isn't there to stop him from having that fun. You don't mind it. The man is a hoot!

-Chrono has become somewhat of a close friend to you. He knows when to let his guard down and relax ever now and then. Don't get me wrong, he still respects Overhaul very much as both a friend and a leader! It's just that when he's out with you, he's not gonna say no to putting a dollar in a prize machine and trying to win an IPAD with you. If you could chose anyone to hang out with for a day, it usually ends up being Chrono. It makes sense that Kai has gotten jealous a time or two of you relationship together. Mimic on the other hand...he doesn't worry as much with you two being together. In fact, your first impression of Mimic was that someone must've been pulling a prank on you. There's no way this beanie baby can turn into a full grown man on command. Mimic thought you weren't real when he met you too either. "How much did the boss pay for you to pretend to be his partner?"

-Katsukame was...a lot upon first meeting. He let a few inappropriate comments slip and you nervously laughed it off until Kai came out and killed the guy in front of you. Since then, Katsukame learned his place around you. Oh and Pops? That old man adored you since the very first moment. How could he not? You're giving his misguided boy a chance to experience real love for the first time! To him, you were considered family from the very first day you took Kai's heart.

(Baby should be doing just fine! Made exactly 11 weeks today! For about 4 days uninterrupted I've been fighting the most gnarly morning sickness ever. Everything I eat and drink makes me sick. I'm sick from not eating and sick from eating. The only that works is chewing peppermint gum. Anyway, let me get off my ramble and churn out some good old Setsuno content. It's been a while since I've been able to do so!)

(Also again this one is pretty specific so I apologize if some readers can't insert into it! I'm open to writing a Setsuno and his partner adopting alternative later upon request!)

~Setsuno Becoming a Dad~

-The overflow of emotions he feels in that very moment of you showing him the two pink lines on that stick just overwhelm him all at once. He at a loss for words. He doesn't even care that you just peed on it either. He grabs it gently and doesn't say a word as tears begin streaming down his face. When he finally gathers himself enough to speak to you, he just barely utters out an 'I'm going to be a father?' before looking at your watery eyes for confirmation. As you shake your head he immediately smiles widely and repeats himself much louder this time. That question no longer a question but now an exclamation so loud the neighbors hear it. "I'm going to be a father!!!"

-He literally calls out of work the next day much to Overhaul's dismay. He just wants to spend the whole day with you planning things. I mean sure you've talked about kids in the past and planned some stuff here and there but never on this scale. It's totally different now that its real! He spends the day asking whether or not you want to reveal it now and if not then how will you two do it later on? Of courser a few small people like his parents and your parent need to know early. Maybe your boss possibly so you can plan out parent leave as well? It just depends on how you want to go about things. Don't even get him started on the registry and the baby shower! He's big on planning everything out so don't be afraid to tell him if he's being a little bit hectic on you with everything at the moment. Everyone needs a break here and there.

-Oh you two finally get to take a day out to go baby clothes shopping early. You insist on getting a few gender neutral items since it's still too early to know the baby just yet but Toya swears in his heart it's gonna be a little girl. He gravitates toward small dresses and overalls with matching sun hats. "Look! She'll be so cute when the summer rolls around in this! We can take her to the beach and collect seashells!!!" Way too excited for the surrounding parents who need to back away from the crazy shouting man lol

-His favorite part so far has been staying up late with you in bed and going off your list of baby names together. Although he feels in his heart this will be a girl, he has a much fuller list of baby boy names than traditional girl names. His argument is that some of them can be interchanged.

-Has already put a 'baby on board' sticker on the car and the kid isn't even born yet. "You have to do it so the EMT can know there's a baby in case of an accident to tend to first. What if we forget about the sticker and really need it one day?"

-Has never lapsed in taking care of you, not one day. He even changed his shifts at the hassaikai and worked overtime just so he can be home at the right times to help take care of you. That means for you he's bringing all your craving foods and rubbing your belly all night if he needs to. Morning sickness if no match for him. He's at your feet with medication, ginger ale, and chewing gum. Whatever helps you, he's getting his hands on it. The only downside to his intense care is that you have to go to the doctor a lot more than most people. Any slight cramp or off putting feeling has him going into a frenzy over you to make sure the baby and you are okay. You'll certainly need to put your foot down here or the two of you will be spending more time at the doctor's office than at home.

-Don't even get me started on when your water breaks. The delivery is a whole other story!

(Thank you! I definitely hope so! I'm an adult but it's really hard for me to adjust to that sometimes. I'm super childish and kid around a lot. Extra sensitive and always anxious or crying when things get tough. I'm hoping I can manage to get it together so I can be a good mom. Thank God my husband is normal...at least enough to properly adult lol)

~Tabe being sweet odd around the House~

-One thing about Tabe is that he never ceased to amaze you, scare you, and surprise yet confuse you every day. Since moving in with him you noticed he does some things here and there to show you he cares about you. You would think they were normal things like bringing flowers home but instead you feel like a cat owner when it brings in a dead animal to feed you. He's odd in a way.

-Sometimes you catch him trying to do your half of the chore before his own because in his head, it's logical! If you have nothing to do then you can relax while he does his own half. He's always shocked you end up finishing his half before he even knows it.

-He tried at some point to do the rose petal trail to the bedroom but didn't rose petal to use. So instead he figured he's use mini marshmallows. Unfortunately some of them were too close to the candles and ended up melting into the carpet which took days to get out!

-He eats everything of course! This is a downside to his quirk! However, he thinks of you. Now that he has someone to love he has taken a second to think before eating. That's why you always find nearly empty items still in containers all throughout the kitchen. He saved you the cereal dust at the bottom of the bag and a teaspoon worth of milk too. Oh joy -_-)

-Probably the most off the wall thing he's done is bring home a stray animal for you since you like animals right?(because I said you do, reader) Well I hope you weren't expecting a stray puppy or kitty. Nope...Tabe brings home a random snake in a bush. But hey, at least he was thinking of you! So although his version of romance isn't exactly perfect, at least you know he's always going to give it his all when it came to you. That's just the way Tabe loves

(I'll give 4 dollars and a hello kitty keychain to anyone that can guess when I might be able to start getting back into writing full smut instead of just light imagines. Anyone? No? Okay, well let's just hope for the best lol)

His hands rapidly roaming along the soft expanse of exposed (s/c) skin in front of him, staring with heavy lust-lidded eyes in the dimly lit broom closet. While he's lost deep within the moment, you can't seem to shake the twinge of worry. An ever creeping feeling that at any moment someone is going to come through the door and hear you two. So you keep your breath low, ignoring the sudden hitch in it when you feel his lanky fingers push past the denim barrier between you two. "D...Deidoro. We shouldn't...not here." Your words weak against his charge. Your feeble attempt at speaking some sense into him falls upon deaf ears when you feel his arousal as he swiftly takes a second to grind against you.

"What's wrong? You scared we'll get caught?~" He gives a cheeky grin before dipping to his knees and fiddling with the zipper on your pants.

He's not letting up. Your best bet is to see just how quiet you can be for the next 20 minutes.

~Two of a Kind~

"Whatever you're planning to do, I must remind you to keep a level head for the most part. You'll ruin the master's plan if you continue on this reckless path." It seems like the millionth time this week that Tengai has decided to give Rappa another long winded speech about things. Kendo once again rolls his eyes and stretches his muscles in preparation. Its been about an hour or so since the walls began moving and the ruckus could be heard from upstairs. Of course he knew something was about to go down when earlier the two temp kids from the League showed up to get his measurements for a so called "clone" of him. Ever since then, he's been basically itching to get at some action. When the walls finally opened up and gave way, he felt that familiar dip of excitement in his heart before the pace picked up. It's been so long since he's had a proper sparring match that he couldn't the perfect opportunity in front of him right now.

And that's when he noticed a familiar figure behind fatty and the red one. A face he couldn't ever mistake. "What the hell are you doin here kid?" He tilts his head to the side as his own flesh and blood stands with fist bared in his direction. "Doing just what I said I would do a year ago...making a name for myself the way that I wanted to." His kid replies with a determined look sprawled across their face. Rappa smirks and takes another moment to get a good look at his kid. All grown up since the last time he's seen em'. Much taller, and a lot less meek than before. A little bit of muscle bulked up and a fire burning in those eyes. He's never felt prouder. "So, you're on the heroes side eh?"

"Yeah, what the hell did you think would happen when I said I wanted to join UA? Did you think I would seriously give up and fall into your offer to join the yakuza? Not a chance!" His kid lunges at him and even though he knows they're the enemy at the moment, he can't help but to use a lot less force than he would on anyone else. Imagine the pleasant surprise when he realizes his child is stronger then he thought. "Well alright brat! Looks like you finally learned how to hone that quirk of yours I gave yah!" Rappa proudly shouts before landing a mean right hook right against the side of his own child's body. An expert dodge and deflect lands them face to face, fist to fist. "What's wrong? Scared to give it all you got on me, dear old dad?"

"Nah kid, you've got it all wrong..." He grips their wrist and slings them into the nearest wall. "I aint gotta go easy on you anymore. You're all grown up so you best bring your 'A' game."

And although inevitably Rappa had lost the squabble against the heroes, he couldn't help but smile so proudly at his kid as he's wheeled into the back of the Police transport vehicle. Just before it pulls away there's a tap at the window and a promise to visit from his kid. It's a promise he hopes gets fulfilled sooner than later.

(I wish I had the same opinion on intoxicated people but as per awful experiences my whole life I won’t go into detail/or trauma dump on ya’ll here. I will say that some drunk people are kinda funny to interact with. Luckily I headcanon him as being somewhat tolerable if you haver a sense of humor. Very annoying to some of the other precepts but it’s to be expected lol)

~New Member~

-I can’t see this being rougher on anyone than Nemoto. This is considering that you were placed on the team with him and Deidoro. Since then it’s been like babysitting for him. Sometimes you were able to help keep Deidoro in line but other times you were only caught egging on his behavior. When you first arrived you seemed to meld into the small team pretty well. You took Deidoro’s jokes and put your own out in place of them. After a while, Nemoto stopped feeling the need to apologize on the drunkards behalf. The two of you got along more and more until you’d nearly become inseparable. It was hard to walk around the base and see one without the other. 

-Whenever there was a large get-together at the end of the month to celebrate a successful month within the Hassaikai, you usually remained sober so as to play the part of the designated driver and/or baby sitter for Deidoro of all people. Lucky for Nemoto he was able to take a break with you being there...even if you were the one causing him to make annoying shrill laugh of his. After a few more minutes to an hour, he was feeling really good. He was definitely sloshed and with his quirk he had a few of the others feeling the very same as well. However, you were nearly immune to everything which is why you were the only one who could drive him home. 

-Sooner than later you began sticking around more often after taking him home. He wasn’t complaining of course. You seemed to be slowly wiggling your way into his life when eventually he started wanting you there more instead of less. Then everything he liked to do in his lonesome became something he preferred doing with you instead. The two of you spent more time outside of work together. At some point you stopped visiting each other and you were basically at Deidoro’s house nearly everyday of the week. He even cleared out a special drawer for you to put all your items into at his house.

-He’d pretty much fallen for you by then end of the year but hadn’t really gathered the courage to ask you out on a date just yet. Oh well, perhaps he would find the time later tonight when the two of you clocked out of work together? Yeah...that sounds like a good idea.

(Thank you! It’s a good feeling to be happy with going to work but it’s only been like 2 or 3 weeks so I’m wondering if that mood will wear off yet or not lol. Anyway, I don’t think anyone has asked me about this before so I’m excited to answer it!)

~Shie Hassaikai and Hobbies~

-Overhaul: Aside from Shogi of course, I do believe he’s the type of man to adore doing those tiny ship models in little glass bottles. It’s calming and peaceful for him. Definitely something to get his mind off the stress of the day.

-Pops: Once again aside from Shogi, he’s probably got a lovely little garden going for him. At least this is what I headcanon for a lot of my stuff he’s involved in. I think he’s got a little garden and a pretty nice Koi pond as well.

-Chronostasis: Surprisingly enough, I feel like he’s into video games. Nothing hard core or anything like that. He’s not big into multiplayers or anything. Just plays the story mode on a few games here and there. It took him almost a year to finish Call of Duty since he doesn’t play as often.

-Mimic: Will never admit to any of the others that he’s into stamp collecting. It’s something he’s done ever since he was a young boy. He’s got an extensive and rather impressive collection but no one to show it to (except the other people online that do it as well).

-Nemoto: Big on movies I think. I feel as though he’s seen a ton of movies and plans to see a ton more. It’s his thing to go see every movie that comes out in theaters whenever he gets an opportunity to do so. He’s not big on collecting digitally but realizes he has to do it when his back room of the house starts to get full of DVD’s.

-Deidoro: Collects bottle caps from his drinks. He’s not huge on a specific kind, but still enjoys keeping up with them. Who knows what he does when it gets to be too many of them. Maybe he takes them to be recycled?

-Rappa: Shouldn’t be a surprise to anyone here, but he enjoys to work out as a hobby. He used to try and get into boxing but it’s difficult to find a boxing partner when you have a quirk like his! 

-Tengai: Clipping bonsai bushes/trees is his calling. When he’s not taking care of bonsai then he’s partaking in a 30 minute/hour long meditation session. When you work alongside Kendo, you have to find something to calm yourself down lol

-Hojo: I’ve headcanoned this multiple times before but I’ll say it again. He’s definitely huge on cards! I think he’s taken time to hone his skills throughout the year until he’s become nearly perfect at playing. This isn’t just for regular card games. He’s also good at solitaire, uno, old maid, whatever involves cards then he’s on it.

-Setsuno: Anon you were spot on about the puzzles! He loves doing puzzles of all sorts and this also includes any type of games that also involve puzzles as well. He particularly loves a good puzzle that’s very hard to finish so he can keep going back to it through the week. The feeling of finally getting it done really laves him feeling proud of himself.

-Tabe: Surprisingly enough, he enjoys drawing! That being said, he’s very bad at it. Or is he? To anyone looking for something abstract then he’s totally a champ at it!  

-Katsukame: Sorta really into cars. Likes watching rally car races and learning about different types of vehicles. He’s even went to a few car meets himself. Doesn’t talk about it much in front of others but if they bring it up then he’s going to pour it out.

(This literally sounds so fun. I can’t imagine they’d cooperate lol)

~Shie Hassaikai Goes Paintballing~

-Hari had only decided on this event last minute when he realized he’d gotten free tickets from a radio contest he entered out of complete bordem on his drive home from work one night. As a result, he immediately took to the other Precepts as an offer for bonding outside of work.

-Who rejected? His own best friend. In the words of Chisaki “What the Hell do I look like to you going out and getting messy like that? Allowing my own men to gun me down in the name of ‘fun’ is out of question. Count me out.” Who else denied? Katsukame of course. “I’d love to go man but I’m not exactly the best at that kinda shit. Look at me! I’d get found in a heartbeat and there’s no way I feel like washing fucking paint off my clothes for the next couple of days.” The other person to turn him down was Deidoro. “It’s my off day. I ain’t spending it with you assholes...respectfully.” Tengai was out of the question.

-Who accepted? Nemoto yes. At first he thought it to be brutish but he was good at shooting so he wanted to see what all damage he could do against his own coworkers. Hojo, Tabe, and Setsuno adored the idea of something like paintballing. Much better than the usually meeting up at the bar after work type thing. Mimic agreed because he placed a bet that against Nemoto that he would win. There was a lot of money on the line so Irinaka wasn’t backing out for anything. Pops wanted to go simply to bond with everyone. He had so much fun doing the bowling and the haunted house that he couldn’t resist another outing! Rappa went solely to cause problems and to win.

-The group was much more competitive than Hari previously thought. His team (team A) there was Rappa, Setsuno, and Hojo. On team B was Pops, Nemoto, Tabe, and Mimic. Almost immediately was there warfare between the two groups. Hari barely dodged a paintball shot directly toward his head. He glared and quickly looked to see Nemoto scurrying back into the cover of thick vegetation. “Bastard.” He grumbled before checking to see if his gun as loaded before running off into the woods in search of Nemoto. Meanwhile there was an old school western stand-off between Pops and Hojo in an open field. “Do it. Shoot me boy.” Pops spoke and Hojo shook his head. “With all due respect headmaster, I don’t think I should.” Hojo nervously scratched the back of his head. “Your call.” Pops smirked before shooting Hojo directly in the middle of the chest. “Aw man.” The man mumbled before walking off the battlefield. “Coward.” Pops scoffed.

-Setsuno and Tabe were having a real showdown somewhere on the other side of the map. Both crouched behind a bush as they let shots ring at each other. Setsuno was the first to make a mistake as he panicked when trying to reload and Tabe took the opportunity to walk directly up to him and shoot him in the neck. “OW SHIT! THAT FUCKING HURT MAN!” Setsuno rubbed his exposed, painted neck. Tabe simply shrugged and pointed in the other direction toward the exit where the losers had to sit. Setsuno flipped him off before leaving Tabe victorious. Meanwhile, Rappa and Mimic had long since shot each other at the same time and were now arguing in the middle of the woods. That left only Pops, Tabe, Nemoto, and Hari. Hari was horribly outnumbered and he didn’t realize until he was in the middle of the circle the 3 men formed around him. “Can we work this out at least?” He tried to bargain. Nemoto delivered the last shot of the game right after uttering a short ‘no’ at Hari. With that, Team B had won (and Nemoto won his bet against Mimic too).

-I think it’s a high possibility in them doing this again. Perhaps the way they return to the base the next day speaking excitedly about the events of the previous day, they may be able to convince the others to join them next time!

~Happy Anniversary~

Joi Irinaka was not a nervous man. An ill-tempered man sure, but nervous? Not likely. He's only ever been nervous about 2 times in his life so far. There was the first instance when he was younger running with a wild crowd that nearly ended him in jail or worse had he not found his way out. And the second instance was now.

His eyes shifted from the stack of bills and papers in front of him to the clock ticking on the wall and back again. He hadn't been able to focus during this last hour and to him the stakes were considerably high. Tonight was your first year anniversary together and he didn't want to mess anything up. He'd already purchased you a gift 2 weeks in advance and was planning on taking you out to your favorite restaurant tonight. The thing holding him back from everything was the fact that he was still stuck here at work for an extra 2 and a half hours more than he intended. It was getting to be later and later into the evening and he was becoming more anxious with each passing minute. Finally there was a short knock at the door before Nemoto entered. Joi immediately stood up and shifted into his larger form. Shin ignored the daggers being glared at him considering Joi's anger was a daily occurrence to him. "Calm yourself Irinaka. Communications broke down between us and the other group and that is what caused the delay. I will take over from here." Nemoto assured him as he took a seat and began counting the bills. Joi had no time to complain about anything as he needed to get home and get home quick. So he gathered his annoyance at his teammate, bottled it up, and headed out of the base to his car.

On the way home he was formulating a multitude of apologies before settling on the best possible option. Unfortunately everything was cut short given the sudden information he's come across when his notification chimed from his phone. "What-WHAT THE HELL???" He could feel his eyes nearly bulge out of his head as that familiar throbbing came about from the anger welling up. The package got delayed??? It was supposed to be here TODAY! He gripped the sides of his phone and nearly cracked it in half had he not remembered your soft voice in the back of his head reminding him to breath. He reluctantly tried to calm himself down, grinding his teeth before taking deep breaths in and out. "Alright it's fine...It's fine. I'll just get Y/N something tomorrow to make up for the package being late. No time to shop tonight since we gotta go to the restaurant. Speaking of which..." He quickly dialed the number to check up on the closing hour and what he heard next would've surely sent his old self into a blind flying rage...

"Our apologies sir but we're currently under renovations given the new addition to our establishment. Can we offer you a 2 for 1 coupon to make up for this inconvenience?"

"gggggrrrrrrrr NO YOU CANNOT GIVE ME A 2 FOR 1 COUPON BECAUSE IT'S NOT THE SAME THING AS EATING THERE WHEN I NEEDED TO!!!!!!!!" He hung up the phone and swore he was going to explode soon when suddenly he heard a gentle tapping at the window of the passenger side. He looked and saw your smiling gently at him. Your muffled laugher quickly calmed him as you pointed at the lock on the door. He unlocked it and you took a seat on the inside. "Why are you out here screaming over the phone? Is it those people trying to sign you up for their healthcare plan again or is it that group asking about our car warranty?" You teased him. He frowned and looked down at his lap, twiddling his large thumbs and sighing. Your demeanor changed as you shifted from playful to open-eared. "What's wrong Joi?" He sighed once more and looked at you defeated. "Everything is fucked and it's all my fault."

"Huh?"

"Y/N, I fucking ruined our first anniversary. First I wasn't even supposed to go to work today and still went in anyway since we needed the money. Then I ended up staying way too long."

"Joi It's okay! I know you need to work. You can't exactly skip days in the yakuza...well I'm sure you can but you probably shouldn't. I respect you and the hard work you do to support us. It's no big deal."

"Yeah? Well then I get home and find out the gift I wanna get you is delayed in the mail. It was supposed to be here today and now it won't be here to next week likely."

"So, big whoop! I don't need a gift right now tonight just because it's our anniversary. I'm happy just having you by my side for an entire year haha."

"But the restaurant too...I was gonna take you to eat at your favorite place. They're closed. That suit over the phone said they were rennovatin and such."

"Okay? I have a lot of places I like to eat at. If one is closed then I can just eat at another one!" He grimaced and stared at you for a moment longer. "Why are you always so soft on me? Always forgivin me for shit when you know I don't deserve you. I don't de-" You silenced him by grabbing his hand and pressing a long kiss into the palm of it before nuzzling your cheek into it and looking up through your lashes at him. "You shut your mouth or you'll really be in trouble. Irinaka I love you so much. I love you much more than you seem to know. I think you deserve everything and more. Just because everything isn't going the way you planned it doesn't mean that it's any less of an anniversary to me. What matters to me now is that you're here and I'm here...we're here together. Don't you figure that's good enough?" You waited on his answer. He smiled a small smile in return. "Yeah I suppose."

"Now put it in drive will you? We can go somewhere and get something else to eat. Oh let's also try and catch a movie! There's this new one out that I think you're gonna like. It's got that one actor in it that was also in-" By now he was lost to your happy chattering but fully focused on the way you looked tonight. The way your eyes always seemed to twinkle with excitement and the way you smile so softly at him, and mostly just the way you love him despite all that he is. And although things didn't go as planned in the moment, he was finally beginning to feel like this first anniversary was a success. He could only hope for many more with you right by his side.

~Shie Hassaikai and the Haunted House~

-Who Suggested it: The funny thing about Toya getting jump-scared is the fact that he’s one of the people that suggested going! He came into the base one day when all the Precepts were working the same shift and started rambling about lost childhood opportunities and how he’s getting older blah blah. Hojo laughed at it and reminded Setsuno he was still in his 20′s and far too young to be having these feelings. Pops agreed it would be a fun experience and Chisaki immediately grimaced at the idea. “First bowling, now a haunted house?” Kai complained as Pops ignored him. The other person that suggested everyone going is Rappa. He heard tell of haunted houses but never went to one before. He wanted to test his might of course. 

-Person who goes a few step in and immediately turns around to go wait in the car: Even though Pops was fully okay with it as an idea, the action itself wasn’t the wisest decision at his age. He immediately turned back around and went to go wait in the car. Kai did the same as well. The idea of crawling though a nasty narrow hallway cramped close to everyone in dark rooms and strangers popping out from God knows where? Hell no, absolutely not. Tengai was next to coming back. There was simply too much going on from the moment he stepped through the door. He only went to try and keep a hold on Rappa but he decided that maybe the others could take the sacrifice and do that for him instead.

-Talks a big game but end up being scared first: The whole way there, Toya was bragging over and over about how he could likely handle it. He kept talking about how it’s just a bunch of teenagers or maybe college kids dressed in costumes getting paid to scare people for minimum wage. He blew it off as no big deal and that he could handle it more than any of the other members could do so. About 2 minutes into the house one of the actors rounded the corner and grabbed Setsuno’s shoulder. Hojo almost pissed himself when he heard Toya scream in such a high pitched tone. 

-Won’t admit being scared but is in fact scared: Making it down the hallways was alright. There were plenty of moments to surprise the men. It was Nemoto that played as though he wasn’t scared but that was all a ruse. His heart was beating out of his chest and he mentally prayed they could hurry and get the hell out of there and never look back. Mimic is also scared. Mimic plays it of and shouts about how he’s not scared, just a little creeped out is all. They end up clinging to each other by the end of the night. It’s a sight too funny for the others to not document.

-Trying to scare the actors in the house: It’s Deidoro’s crazy ass that ends up trying to scare the actors right back. He ends up making a few of them scream, some of them laugh, and others avoid him altogether. The man is unhinged and instead of sinking into his fear he just kinda...warps it into something different entirely. He ends up diverging from the group and becoming one of the actors himself (much to the actual workers dismay). 

-Runs through it too fast: The first person out of the house is Tabe. In fact, he leaves the group in the fucking dust as soon as the first scare happens. He’s moving so fast that he barrels through a family and knocks down a kid on his way out. 

-Fights the actors and gets kicked out: You don’t even have to guess who it was but I’ll go ahead and tell you obviously it’s Rappa. He gets scared and realizes that he’s not as tough as he thought he would be. Anger and fear don’t mix very well when it comes to him. He starts swinging and the authorities have to show up to escort him out. The actors might press charges and Kai has to step in to talk to the cops. Rappa definitely gets banned from the event and likely isn’t allowed back to another haunted house for a very long time. 

-Almost pissed themself: 3 options are presented here. Toya is the one that almost pees his pants from the fear of it all. The other 2 people are Hojo and Katsukame. The two of them almost pee themselves after watching Toya get as scared as he did.

-Wants to do it again: Actually Hari had a good time doing something silly like this. He wants to go back and do it again next year even if he ends up going alone.
