Surfin' the couches

Pro: half the people I sent couchrequests to in Veliko Tarnovo got back to me within 5 minutes Con: they all declined Also, why does my "response rate" keep going down? No one is sending me couchrequests! Or does couchsurfing seriously expect me to reply to every "decline" or message I get? Sometime after the most recent site update the response rate calculator must have been altered because I went from 95% to 30% and am now at 22%? What?? Is it correlated to my phone battery charge or something? The main problem with this is that now I don't know if other people actually have the response rates listed or if they've been likewise screwed over by the system update. Who do I waste precious time and energy sending things to?
