Like most of Ferrara’s movies, King of New York (1990) is a style over substance, narratively disjointed thriller whose script is populated exclusively with psychopaths.
Walken, Caruso, Fishburne and Snipes arguably all have their best performance in a film.
This movie has a lot in common with To Live and Die in LA but, it’s not as tight.
Not crazy about the ending but, definitely a top tier crime movie of its era.
