let’s talk about James Rupert Rhodes, outside of his friendship with Tony Stark
he’s a Colonel in the Air Force. he graduated MIT. he’s a genius in his own right. and while Tony built it, he flies War Machine. here’s a black man who is well respected in the military; a soldier who risks his life and fights terrorists as a job. he’s an avenger by himself.

Just Little Rhodey things:
- Rhodey’s widely known, just like the bunch of them (Remember that in IM3 Rhodey was the topic in all news channels & Harley knew about War Machine). So, Rhodey – because he’s in the picture waaay before Sam came – was, to the people in general, the only black superhero before the New Avengers team was made & it had two black heroes.
- Also, Rhodey has fans (see IM3 where the guy wanted to take a picture with “Iron Patriot” without knowing Killian’s evil minion was currently using the armor)
- Rhodey is from Philly, which I think is p much awesome
- According to Wikia, Rhodey is 48 & a Libra
- Drunk!Rhodey doesn’t care about sexy girls dancing, he wANTS TO TALK ABOUT HOW GOOD BEING IN THE MILITARY IS

I love that you can practically hear the "Holy lord, you effing moron. You do realize we are in the middle of a very tenuous political environment. The world is worried that we are only acting in our interest and not taking the safety of the masses into account, and while we are busting our asses to prove that not true, your over here ruining all our hard work that would benefit us all in the long run, just because you have a boner for your friend. Real talk, why don’t y’all love Donald Frank Cheadle Jr?
I’m tired of the RDJ short jokes. You know who the shortest male Avenger is? James Rupert Rhodes.
He’s eight inches shorter than Thor. EIGHT.
When you best friends with a senior citizen I’m sure Sam doesn’t care for throwing old jokes at Rhodey so imagine him always bring up their height and how he’s 2 inches taller than Air Force legend, Lt. Rhodes. (especially because he’s 2″ shorter than Cap and that’s annoying).
This post has no real focus or conclusion, I just want y’all to acknowledge how cute it is that Don Cheadle’s name is Donald Frank and to remember that Rhodey is a SHORTY compared to the rest of the team. I love him. Please love him.
