Finally !! Finished weaving this tapestry ..

Title “ Balancing Act”. 63 cm x 53 cm. Wool and Cotton on Cotton warp 12dpi. Took longer than expected ( 6 months ) I’m pleased (and relieved) with the finished piece.

Work in progress. Almost half way through the portrait in the center panel of my most recent tapestry…

The beginning of a large tapestry I’m weaving - small corner but quite a lot of detail - took ages back and forth to get her expression right. Wool, cotton on cotton warp.

RIP, Terence Davies (1945-2023).

The first simulated image of a black hole was calculated with an IBM 7040 computer using 1960 punch cards and hand-plotted by French astrophysicist Jean-Pierre Luminet in 1978.
