There is NO justification for a president to place a justice on the Court that will decide critical issues relevant to judging his criminal and counterespionage investigation. There has to be a legal mind that can file a lawsuit to at least stall the nomination process until the next Congress is seated. Unless, of course, #MerrickGarland is nominated - a generally accepted centrist judge who would be ideal as a swing vote.
