I guess the whole point of this episode was to show us we wouldn’t need to worry Sophie and Nate were gone, that, no matter how hard the case was going to be, that the three of them could handle it as long as they were together, that they are grown enough to make things work and are capable of giving each other courage even in the scariest of situations.
And in the end, somehow, that made me feel better.
SOPHIE: I was right. It was like old times. NATE: It was. SOPHIE: Art theft, chases, dresses and tuxedos… I wish I got to see the real Ma Mystère. NATE: Sterling might find it once he goes through Katrina’s files. SOPHIE: I’m sorry I couldn’t tell you how I knew it was a fake. It’s just… it’s personal. But I really appreciate your faith. I treasure it. NATE: You made a good point. I should trust you. I mean, I do trust you. I do. And… look, you and me…. we’re… me and you, we’re…. it’s just that… ——- NATE: That’s how I found you. Your shoes. When you left that day, you were wearing your fancy shoes. The high heels — they’re high enough for fashion, low enough to run in. SOPHIE: You never looked at my feet. NATE: Didn’t have to. They sound different on the wooden floor. SOPHIE: You’re so clever. What about the party? NATE: Well, I mean if you were wearing those shoes, it meant one thing — an event. Which meant catering. So I called all the high-end caterers and I found that there was one party — an art auction.
PARKER: Do you know why you bring a cooler full of ice to a robbery? No? I do. Everything we need to know is in that basement.

HARDISON: You did not just think about this on the way in from the van. PARKER: Some people do crosswords.

ELIOT: You scared? HARDISON: You’re damn right. ELIOT: I’m not. I’ve got the best thief and the smartest guy I know chasing this guy. Hey, listen to me - you’re the smartest guy I’ve ever known, Hardison. I need that brain to get me to him, ‘cause you know if I lay my hands on him, it’s done. Get me to him.
Leverage 5.09 The Rundown Job
I’ll never get tired of that.
It’s not just that both Eliot and Parker know exactly what the other is thinking (tho I love it because Parker is not the most sympathetic person but she always seems to know what Nate and Eliot are thinking because the three of them are the ones who more easily jump into each other’s ruthless wavelenght and know what the other is up to without having to talk about it and it’s perfect? gun, trigger and bullet.) but the fact that this OT3 works as the most perfectly intertwined unit and both Eliot and Parker know that if that doesn’t work they’re probably going to die so they just nod at each other and do what they have to do because that’s what makes them them, but they’re not who they used to be either (“we change together”) so she kisses Hardison first even if she doesn’t believe in luck, and Eliot allows himself looking at them one last time before letting Parker go and save the world (in this show the girls are the ones who ultimately save the day while the boys cover their back and are ridiculously affected by them! BEAUTIFUL) while he does his thing wich is protecting them with his life until the last moment. Is there a way to get Leverage feelings out of one’s system?
“Kiss for luck?” “I don’t believe in luck.”
“Kiss for luck?” “Who needs luck?”
