‘Leverage’: Beth Riesgraf Calls ‘Heart-Wrenching’ Season Closer a ‘Shocker’ (Video)
"You always hear us talking about, as a cast -- on set and off set -- we're a family and it really is true. In this last episode, you really see the fruits of our labor. That family dynamic is so strong in this episode -- it's heart-wrenching how much we care about each other and the strength that we have as a team," Riesgraf revealed. "It's really come to a head in the end. This is really it, this is where they've all arrived. They can't live without each other basically because they are essentially a team." [source]
BETH RIESGRAF: I watched it the other night and I was like, “Wait, that’s kind of dark. Is it a person that they just killed?” That’s where my mind went! JOHN ROGERS: If you pan over, it’s actually the scene from Dark Knight where the dude’s on top of the giant pile of money and he’s like [muffles]. Then Sophie and Nate burn a dude alive on a pile of money and then snuggle in kimonos. BETH RIESGRAF: Then they make out. JOHN ROGERS: Really? That’s where your head went?! What’s wrong with you, Riesgraf? BETH RIESGRAF: Well I mean, Nate isn’t exactly the most sane individual. So they burn people alive. Over money. For fun. JOHN ROGERS: Is that really the subtext you’re playing? BETH RIESGRAF: I play Parker! I don’t know what to tell you. You created her. KAYLA DOBSON: That actually answers one of our later questions, where Kathy Jones is asking what they set on fire. But apparently now we know. JOHN ROGERS: According to Beth Riesgraf, it’s a person, duct taped to a chair, soaked in gasoline. There you go. BETH RIESGRAF: He may or may not have been wrapped in like, some sort of fabric. Like cheese cloth. JOHN & KAYLA: THAT’S ODDLY SPECIFIC.
