Jason's Birthday Gift

Batman isn't completely against killing. He just feels like he can't be the one to make that decision, because "who gave him the right to be Judge, Jury, and Executioner?"

But, Jason's birthday is coming up and he thinks he has the perfect Idea for him.

Jason was resurrected. Apparently murdered Ghosts have a supernatural need to be avenged. He put 2 and 2 together.

He summons the Ghost King and asks if it's legal to Kill the Joker.

Cut to Jason'a birthday and everybody is having a blast. They get to opening the presents and finally get to Bruce's gift.

Jason opens it and finds a Signed Warrant for the Jokers Death, from the king of the dead Phantom.

He looks up at Bruce disbelieving, but he just nods back and continues drinking his coffee.

Jason: Did you just get me permission to Kill the Joker from fucking GOD!?

Bruce: Go break his Kneecaps kids

Alfred: I'll pack a lunch!

Bruce was staring at the wall of his office in the manor for the past three hours. Why you might ask? It was because Jason's second after-revival-and-return-of-proper-mind birthday waa two weeks from now and he couldn't come up with anything his second son would like.

While Bruce was able to come up with many ideas not even one of them was worthy of being even in the 'Good enough' category. Only one thing, Bruce knew, would be a perfect gift. The problem however was that Bruce, or rather Batman, didn't have the legal power to Kill the Joker (That and if Bruce were to have blood on his hands due to killing without proper permission he was scared that he won't be able to stop himself from doing so again). He isn't a judge, jury or an executioner. He is a vigilante doing his best to keep Gotham and the world as a whole safe.

Then Bruce realised that if he were to find someone willing to give him the legal power to kill the Joker he would take full advantage of it. So he started thinking of all of the world leaders who could give him that power. None of them unfortunately would agree to do so. For Bruce that just meant that he'd to find some other legal system to help him.

And the Infinite Realms had such a legal system. As the strongest land of the dead they had the authority to call for the head of the Joker.

Which leads us to Bruce one week before Jason's birthday kicking everyone out of the manor saying that he has some business with Constantine... Business he does indeed has... Business concerning the birthday gift he wants to give to Jason.

Bruce with the help of Constantine was able to summon Ghost King Danny Phantom and after an appropriate explanation he asked if it was possible for a death warrant to be issued.

It was naturally possible. And easy to do too. He had all of the needed paperwork due to many ghosts crying out for the Joker's death. He just needed to fill out the form and reference the paperwork and the magic of the Infinite Realms would create the warrant, making it so that even a nuke wouldn't be capable of sighing the parchment.

After the death warrant was ready it was beyond easy for Bruce to wrap it in the paper he uses for Jason's gifts.

Danny pops in a week later to check on the situation.

Danny: So! How'd he take it?

Bruce: He hugged me!

Danny: So the news that his ghost has been sent to the nightmare dimension forever?

Bruce: Would be good news yes.

Danny: Good! I'll leave you to it then!

Bruce: Would you like to stay for dinner?

*Thinking internally: Would you like to stay forever)

Danny: Oh! Yeah that would be nice.

While I was lurking I noticed some people trying their hand at Danny Phantom and My Hero Academia crossovers. And that gave me an idea.

So MHA likes to say quirks are completely genetic. No idea what triggered them but it’s all evolution. Honestly that’s hard to believe even in universe.

So what if it’s all actually caused by the ghost portal? Ectoplasm exposure causes liminality which can manifest in ridiculous ways. The contamination from the portal spreads from Amity until the entire world is slowly changed.

Where you go from there is up to you. I don’t plan to do anything with this idea. I just thought it would be a neat way to combine universes.

Careful What You Wish For

Bit of an angsty idea - Danny’s current reality is the result of a wish. Let’s say that the portal worked originally and Danny didn’t have an accident. So no one was able to fight the ghosts on an equal footing. The Fentons spent a lot more time having to fight since there was no Phantom to do it for them. And also having to recover from the injuries they get from fighting. So they get less time in the lab and are slower to advance their tech.

So ghosts wreaking havoc and hunters struggling to hold the line. Maybe people are dying, definitely getting injured. The GIW are even more extreme because of it and actual professionals join the organization because they can see that they are needed. So even with more primitive tech, they do succeed in capturing some ghosts and are ruthless in their treatment. Many ghosts are ended.

Maybe this is how Pariah Dark is released. Desperate or vengeful ghosts who want to make the GIW and humans pay for what they’ve done. End result? Apocalypse. It’s an all out war.

Somehow Danny has survived. Everyone he knows is gone but he makes it. And he sees the world torn apart and what led there. The reckless pursuit of science, careless ghosts, vengeance etc. Both sides have done terrible things to each other.

Danny wishes he had been able to stop it. Specifically, he wishes he’d had the ability to reign in both sides and protect them.

Desiree hears him.

So now Danny is a halfa. He protects the humans from ghosts and the ghosts from humans. And the key word - ability. That’s why he keeps developing new powers when he needs them. It’s why he’ll never stop. His powers are adaptive.

However unknowingly, Danny wished to become Phantom.

Duke gets blinded

So there was an emergency JL meeting when a dimensional rift opened up in bum-fuck nowhere and dumped an ENTIRE TOWN

There were no attacks, no damage or pollution to the crops, but still...a TOWN

So all the batfam menbers, some young justice, and some JL went to investigate

Duke happened to fall asleep because NOT EVERYONE CAN BE A NIGHT OWL BRUCE

So he woke up half an hour after they landed

What they weren't experting was for duke to open his eyes, scream fall on the floor and start shouting about who landed on the sun

The JL, batfam and young justice are confused and more than a little concerned

That concern only intensified when ,he after he put on blinders to help him see, a kid walked up and duke once again dropped, screamed and cussed to the sky

Meanwhile the kid wasent bothered, he didn't even seen borhered that he was in another dimension!!!

He only apologised for the drop in and said that he'll make sure their gone by morning

DP x DC prompt - Not that type of Clown!

Where Jack Fenton has a cousin who lives in Gotham.

They fell out of contact a long time ago, but the last time he checked, his cousin was in the entertainment industry as some sort of clown.

When Danny gets accepted into Gotham U for college, Jack phones up his cousin to ask him to look after his son.

Danny wonders who he pissed off in the past to have his uncle be some sort of color clashing, deranged, clown.

In other words, Uncle Joker AU

Batman and Joker is duking it out on the street in front of the college because Batman thought he there for ✨evil scheme✨ but he actually there to pick up Danny from college for family dinner with Harley and Ivy (how this came to be is up for interpretation)

(after a bit digging, i never found cannon proof of Danny being afraid of clown, so i just gonna take that Danny only afraid of specifically gothic circus ring master after Circus Gothica but still have a general dislike for clown in this au)

Danny on the other hand is trying to operate by “Not my haunt/ghost, not my problem” because college is stressful and he not gonna chance it after finally somehow got good grades to go to college, (and he only have a space obsession here, no protection)

so he have a “talk” with Joker after meeting him and now he is known to be under Joker “protection” (as if he need protection from mortal lol) to anyone in the underground

but it’s new enough for Batman to not know yet (author bullshit magic, let Batman not know something just this once pls)

Anyway, as they are fighting, Danny just shove his way to the front after seeing everyone blocking the college entrance and immediately yell at Joker when he sees him fighting Batman to “Not flirt with the furry for once” and “call ahead to inform him rather than send a picture of him standing in front of Danny’s college” with a side of “You such an embarrassment uncle Jack”

Now everyone is freaking out because apparently this is Joker nephew, omg he goes to Gotham U, etc etc

Batman on the other hand is severely concerned because Joker have a nephew (how did he not know this?!), that is currently reprimanding him like he is a child

and the Batfam is either laughing about Batman getting call a furry or alarm like Batman or panic over “OMG black hair, blue eyes, Joker’s nephew is adoption bate” (probably all of them, depends on the person)

While everyone is in shock, Harley and Ivy show up in a car (that they probably stole) and call out to Joker and Danny

Danny decided that he tired of this bullshit and just drag the Joker with him in to the car and they drive off right when Batman go out of shock

DP Prompt

Not the type of thing I could write but the thought hit so I’m sharing it for those who would enjoy it.

Been seeing a lot of Void!Danny and full hazmat Danny, space obsession, space core etc. and they all coalesced in my mind for this, especially after I recalled the hero Thirteen from BnHA.

Danny whose ghost form is like a living black hole. Full hazmat. Having to be a lot more careful because damage could cause him to leak and suck in everything around him. Running from the GIW and his parents not because he’s afraid they could actually dissect him, but knowing if they tried then they would all die.

Maybe he has other space based powers? Gravity manipulation. Making mini singularities etc.

Maybe he can eventually learn to control it and stay contained even without the suit. Maybe he learns how to make an additional form like his canon ghost form. Halfway between that he figures out how to change his hazmat into a proper space suit (futuristic form fitting sci-fi suit, not bulky NASA suit)

Like and Survive! (DC x DP)

Everyone knows who Phantom is. He was one of the very first heroes though he inexplicably chose to dedicate his life (metaphorically) to micromanaging the hell out of some random town no one has ever heard of. He's a specialist hero, only really useful for ghost stuff. He comes every time someone contacts him for help but it's only happened a few times in all of his years of operation.

Then, kid heroes become a thing. Robin, once perpetually hidden beneath the shadow of the bat emerges into the metropolis sun just in time to make the front page.

When Batman's child-raising skills are called into question, Kid Flash is brought out at a press release by Flash to show that these exceptional children are around. They just aren't common knowledge for their own health (aside from the villains - being a child star wrecks your brain).

A few villains do come forward and say "no, the sidekicks will go out on their own if their hero doesn't let them. And they have all the powers and none of the restraint. Please don't separate them."

(Batman and Robin are both very flattered that all their rogues think they have powers. Robin is ✨glowing✨ with pride.)

Cyborg calls Robin at 3am. He asks if he's seen the new 'BooTube' page.

Phantom has set up his own website. It's a dark and moody ripoff of YouTube with 1 channel. His.

Introduction Video: Transcript Hi guys, I can't lie to you, I was as up-in-arms as anyone when I saw what people are now calling "The Robin Reveal". But then I remembered that I started my hero work when I was mentally and physically fourteen years old...

Danny needs tucker to set up a secure mailing client through BooTube within the week so they can answer the inundation of questions or requests to come to amity for help using their abilities.

A day later he has to put up a video asking hero's and villains to not try and hack the site, he's already recieved complaints from constantine for having to exorcise cyborg because he tried to break through on non ecto-shielded hardware. There's also a haunting problem in metropolis at lexcorp but that's not dannys problem.

A week later danny has to screen visitors to town using ghosts after he uploaded a video telling children of villains that it was OK to ask him for advice as well, shock horror! apparently some parents don't take kindly to their kids having powers or not following the family footsteps, something danny can really relate to with his parents in the early years.

Also, yes I didn't specify but obviously Tucker is running BooTube and it's Technus' security system (potentially he has a child or protégé who likes to hang out on the server and makes it so every return hack attack is different and insane).

The Batcomputer is possessed by something. No one wants to tell Bruce yet.

Amity Park basically becomes a training ground for future heroes and metas, mostly by accident
Families supportive of their meta kids will move there for the schools well acquainted with dealing in power mishaps, meta kids without support will run to Amity for that support, and pretty much every hero ends up spending a couple months under Phantom
BooTube has a huge impact on how the public views heroes, but in particular, child heroes
Getting the down-and-dirty from The Original Hero, who was a child, means he not only lends credibility, but lends empathy
When heroes start getting mind controlled, the tone of the news is different then it might have been— there’s sympathy, and when the news reports on damages a hero has caused, it’s considered victim blaming to include damage caused under mind control/advanced brainwashing, because they were the gun, not the shooter
Finding out you were cloned goes down smoother with the hero community. Most of them have spent at least one sleepless night figuring out what they’d do.

Dani grows a loose network of clones and other kids who came about in less than traditional ways. Match takes the heat as the face of this network and the US govt. passes legislation to print special birth certificates for any such kids or adults. Because someone cloned freaking Superman at least once.
Everyone knows that if you start trouble in Amity, not only will Phantom--the original hero--kick you out black and blue and somewhat bloody but every former and current child hero will hunt you down.
The Mansons have funded at least one young hero team.
Every young hero team spends time in Amity to learn how to deal with the more...ah, paranormal threats they could face.
Several young heroes, those without mentors or parents especially, will call Phantom 'Dad' or some variation.
You mess with a child hero and not only will their usual mentor come kick your ass but there's a good chance that all their Phantom trained comrades will follow, if not Phantom himself.
This loose network of people who trained under Phantom is rather close knit. They are more than willing to team up with each other if a situation calls for it, no matter their personal opinions on each other.
If you were trained by the Phantom, then you're family.
The Joker ran afoul of the above when he took Robin II. Instead of just the current Bats looking for the boy, everyone from Superboy down was also. Also several ghosts. Robin II made it out of the exploding warehouse alive. The Joker didn't.
