Heart Stealer

Today's dream for you guys was one I had about my mom a month after she passed. I still hits a soft spot because I lost her suddenly and now won't ever be able to share things like that with her again.

In the dream, I was spending time with my mom. We were shopping with each other and talking about life.

But what really made it heartbreaking was when she asked "What will you do when I do?" That was a very heavy and very real question. Especially for a dream.

I was honest with her. I always wear my heart on my sleeve and can't hide my true feelings from her. My answer was "I don't know. It's not something I want to think about. It's too early for you to go."

She just smiled at me and said "Well, whatever happens, don't give up. You're my baby. It'll hurt if you stop everything for something so trivial."

It really hurt to hear that. Right after she said that, my mom just started laughing and said to not worry. That everything would be okay.

When I woke up from that dream, I cried for an hour. But I took her words to heart. Her death will never be a trivial thing. But I have never given up. I live my life how I choose and try to make the most of it.

It was a heartbreaking yet heartwarming dream. I still remember it because the wound was still very fresh. I'll always love her and not a damn person will ever take her place. But I try to move on from things to keep from bring caught up and stopped.

I wanna tell you guys about a nightmare that literally scared the shit out of me and was a warning for me. I mean that this nightmare shook me to my very core.

In the nightmare, it started out with me sitting in a classroom where a guy was teaching us about an owl deity. He said that it brought out the true nature of things and revealed things hidden to the naked eye.

After that, it switched to me looking through a book filled with all kinds of animals. But I stopped on a page that held a red fox. The fox was drawn as if it was walking forward.

Suddenly, it turned completely black with red glowing eyes. A second later, it jumped at me in my dream, scaring the fuck out of me.

It literally scared me awake. I gasped before quickly turning the lamp on next to my bed. I didn't even look into the darkness beforehand because I feared I would see those eyes again.

When the light was on, I looked out nut saw nothing. I don't remember falling back to sleep but my mom woke me up later and asked if I was okay. She found me leaning against the arm of the couch I'd slept on with the lamp still on.

To this day, I believe it was an omen that something bad was going to happen. And a year later, my mom was diagnosed with bladder cancer. I think it was warning me about her. But I didn't know. It just really bothers and scares me when I remember it.
