A Whimsy Announcement

Hello, friends!

Kirby’s human here. I am traveling for a bit with limited, possibly nonexistent Interwebs access. As usual, your daily dose of adorable tortle will continue uninterrupted, thanks to the magic of Tumblr’s queue. Kirby will be staying with friend gckaf this time for a change, which means a much lower likelihood of Kirby being able to manipulate his way into junk food every day.

We’ve responded to all the messages we have in our inbox so far. If you sent us a message and have not heard back, please do resend. Tumblr is known to sometimes eat our messages!

Hello, friends! I'm back!

Kirby was very disappointed to find out I told gckaf about bath time. When gckaf gave Kirby a bath, he retaliated by burying himself in dirt immediately after.

We have a couple of announcements for you today!

  1. A little birdie asked us to spread the word about Tumblr friend turtlespartyhard and axolotylspartyhard: If you follow either of her blogs and are wondering where her awesome posts went, she is okay, but she accidentally deleted her Tumblrs. Tumblr doesn’t have any nice undo buttons, but hopefully we’ll see her again soon on Tumblr!
  2. I am traveling for a bit without Interwebs access, starting today. I’ve filled up my queue with oodles of Kirby pictures, so daily posts will continue as usual. Kirby will get to boss around the same temporary humans he bossed around the last time I went traveling. Kirby’s temporary humans are under orders not to give in to his demands for nothing but junk food. (Kirby was very convincing last time.)
  3. Please do send me asks and messages as much as your hearts desire! I will reply as soon as I return.
  4. (As always, if you would like to hear back from me about anything, send me an ask through my ask box, send me a “fan mail” message, or turn on your ask box so I can send you a message! You can also show us photos of your shelled ones, etc. through our submit page–but please note, we don’t have a reply option for submissions, so if you have questions, please either do one of the above, or let us know that it’s okay to answer your questions publicly.)

Wonderful News!

Friends, friends, friends! Whimsy here with WONDERFUL news for you today: Kirby is home, and best of all, Kirby ATE!!! On his own!! With both eyes open almost all the way!! Kirby didn't eat very much, but he ate much more than a few bites! (His tummy must be full from this morning's tube feeding, anyways.) And all on his own, without any prodding! Mouth open as wide as possible and lots of "FEED ME NOW" attitude! I have to go work again now (ugh), but we wanted to share this wonderful news with you all ASAP. We will post an update with more details tomorrow! Lots of love, whimsy
