Bonus photos from before we opened my birthday present from Waffles, Mango, and Torty: Colorful ribbons are irresistible!
For my second birthday several weeks ago, friends Waffles, Mango, and Torty sent me a fabulous birthday present! We have been so busy that we haven't had a chance to share the fabulousness of my present with you all yet!
Sweet Mango wrote me a lovely card with the best nom-like colors, and Waffles and Torty wrapped my present in the most beautiful ribbons! Even the wrapping paper was amazing: It was covered with colorful friendbeasts! After admiring my card and the wrappings on my package, we opened my present...a new senior friend for me!
Brunhilda and I hit it off right away (after a minor mishap when I almost tried to nom her pretty pink belly). Now I won't be lonely when Mommy is out. We are going to have so many adventures together!

Mommy made me an extra fancy cake for my birthday this year! Layers and layers of kale, collard greens, and---my favorite!---radicchio, with "frosting" made from frilly kale edges and all topped with two radicchio roses! (One rose for every year!)

Happy second hatchday to our bestest friend Kirby at @thewhimsyturtlethree! Mango wrote the card, Torty wrapped the present and I took it to the post office. We hope he gets the biggest piece of cake ever!

Do you know what today is?
Today is my second birthday!!
More accurately, today marks two whole years since I showed up on Mommy's doorstep in a FedEx box! We don't know my exact hatchdate, so we celebrate today as my birthday instead. (My hatchday is probably around August 1.)
In other words, it's party time!!
I tried to nom my candles again, but Mommy yelled, "No!" so I was a good boy this year and refrained. Now where's my cake?!
