I like to reblog later! This blog is a mess. Good luck. I make gifs (#my gifs). So many fandoms to find here. I'm Asexual Aromantic. Been here since 06/04/2012. I kinda do a lot of yelling on here lately. Sorry for that.

Am I the only one who hates that not only did they turn Gerrard from an actual threat who indirectly calls people slurs to their face into a grumpy grandpa cartoon character, they also kinda made him the hero of this plot? Like yes, Bobby manipulated him a little bit, but Gerrard brought Ortiz down. The 118, the people who actually suffered under him didn't do anything.

Also, how did Gerrard, misogynist no. 1, even become "old friends" with a woman (of colour!) like Ortiz in the first place?

And now that entire plot is over? Just like that? I was very excited about the potential drama, about the characters having to fight a corrupt system, about Gerrard becoming an actual problem instead of just annoying, about where this left the Hans and Wilsons as families. But here we are. They spent half the episode on random calls (which I'm usually glad about, it is a procedural drama) and squeezed the drama I've been waiting for since 7x09 all into less than 30 minutes.

No time to feel feelings, we gotta hit the characters and viewers with new trauma next episode! I was so hoping that the no-contact ruling would be turned into an actual topic. Let Hen & Chim struggle with how to behave around one another. Let Karen and Hen (and thus the viewers) feel the loss before you immediately fix the problem.

I was so, so very underwhelmed.

The way buck went to bobby more or less straight away with his issues about Gerrard made me feel emotional - that’s a son going to his dad for help - in a healthy way - which buck wouldn’t have done before - he’s grown so much 🥹🥹🥹

I loved this episode but I wish it was drawn out over at least two nights… we opened with such an exciting and horrifying scene of Gerrard telling buck to fire someone and by the end of the episode everything is wrapped up in a neat little bow? I wanted more angst and just more out of all of the storylines
