sometimes i think abt the crew of among us ocs i made in 2020ish and go. huh. if amongus wasn't so Like This now id probably talk about them a lot
like. they're just some regular guys, right? they're just some guys on a spaceship. they use the "crewmates vs imposters" game as a way to get tasks done in a fun way, with the whole "ejecting" thing being just a VERY dramaticized pretend death. they're just silly and having fun.
and then an actual imposter manages to get onto the ship.
the thing is, they're like. Really Bad at pretending to be normal. so everyone knows immediately. and they just... don't care. and none of their sabotages work because they've planned for this exact scenario dozens if not HUNDREDS of times and NOBODY dies. and the poor imposter is just so so lost.
collectively, the original crew decides to tell the imposter "lmao so we've known all along. but like if you're not gonna kill anyone and you stop sabotaging us then you can stay". AND IT WORKS, and they now have another crew member who can eat pretty much anything and is actually just a pretty chill guy.
it's ridiculous and i love it so much
at one point a hostile spaceship starts threatening the crew. like the whole "give us everything you have or we'll wipe you from existence" type schtick. and the imposter goes "yeah i got this" and, using the tactics they'd learned from playing the little tasks game with the rest of the crew, fucking obliterates all of them.
yknow what? ive started playing among us again (however briefly). im bringin these critters back with a fresh new coat of paint 🤙
