The Virginia Mermaid

I realize I haven’t posted anything in a week but that’s because I was a bit preoccupied with a very special day ;) 👰🏼🤵🏼😘🌬🐠 It’s been three days since I married 💍💑the love of my life and while we were off taking a mini moon at lake Anna 🚣🏼‍♀️🥂🎣(thank you @kaceylockree ), the photos, videos, and memories have been pouring in which we’re in the process of collecting to post in a collective album. There are so many people to thank for making this possible but for now I leave you with the first photos from our wedding photographer @hannahmalloyphoto . Our day was filled with incredibly perfect moments both expected and unexpected. A high five three years in the making 🙏💥🚀🧜🏻‍♀️ Willie and I have been trying to take a mermaid/hang gliding couples photo on the beach ever since he started flying but in order to sustain safe flight on the beach, it takes a very specific combination of weather conditions. The entire summer that we lived at the Outer Banks, those conditions never occurred which tells you how rare it is! When we went back to the beach last month for the annual @kittyhawkkites hang gliding spectacular, those rare weather conditions FINALLY lined up during our 6 day visit (along with the castle on jockeys ridge fully exposed during our visit as well...talk about luck). William and his friends soared across the dunes of Hatteras Island for hours that day and after he had his fun @izziefreeman and I climbed up to the top of the dune to attempt to get “the shot”. 📸@designbydave_aldrich of @willswing was snapping photos from below so collectively we got some amazing shots! 🙌🙌 I was proud to be wearing the new “Classic Cleo” fabric tail by @finfolkproductions during this ground breaking shoot ✨🧡 . . . .
