So there was a post circulating my dash regarding the uh...changes happening to both plot and characters for tv adaptation for IWTV TV, but I haven't seen the follow-up article posted in here describing Lestat and Louis' family.

Lestat is essentially the same except a lot more sinister and manipulative? And the implication I get from the description is that he essentially brainwashes Louis into loving him so you know, there's that...

But do note that this is the ONLY source right now that has these descriptions. The production dates check out but we don't have much else to support the rumors yet. Only time will tell how accurate this is or if changes will occur later down the line.

Oh you can believe it! Could the show be boycotted as well I wonder? I have so many thoughts about Louis being rewritten as a black man. Representation is awesome but this is not it.

Also! Daniel being rewritten as a jaded, old man...are they still pursuing the Armand and Daniel romance? Because if so I don't want it.

what a mess, honestly I expected them to f up the story but why have they decided that this was the route to take ? I agree with you @the-disgruntled-vc it reads very.. problematic to say the least, not to mention the straying from the source material immensely with not only louis but daniel as well. (are they trying to combine him w david??) I was hoping we would have some great diversity in this new adaptation but I think changing louis from slave owner to black man was just not the move they needed to make.
