I want to get a beater knife for around the kitchen so that I won't have to choose between bitching about cutting cakes and pies and stuff on ceramic surfaces or having to sharpen my good knives all the time but I just know that I'm going to end up being really precious about the beater knife too. Because I like to have a sharp knife.
