Getplume has disabled comments on their ads after people started using them to warn that its a predatory service, so this is your reminder that plume charges you 99 dollars a month for shit that places like planned parent hood charge way less and not monthly for, and actively spread misinformation about major health effects of hrt, such as whether or not estrogen can cause infertility in trans women (it usually does, but plume says it doesnt)
i feel like the reason everyone makes fun of trans men & men-adjacents is because the face of the trans male community is an upper middle class white boy, but that doesn’t excuse the way that people relentlessly mock “kai he/they”s and like, Basic trans boys. or infantilize them. like there’s joking about common coincidences between trans men and then there’s literaly transphobic stereotyping that erases trans men of color from the conversation. what im trying to get at is if youre cis stop making jokes about how every trans guy has a galaxy binder and is named skyler and plays ukelele and is a softboy because 1) those things arent even bad, 2) the trans men you have come into contact with are majority white and they are not the only people in our community, and 3) its not your fucking place to joke about trans people.
cis people can reblog but dont add on
I know everyone’s talking about how the cast of Danny Phantom is full of gay and trans characters exclusively to piss of Butch Hartman but let us not forget, Butch’s bread and butter, Fairly Odd Parents…
Timmy’s parents were 100% sure that Timmy was going to be a girl before he was born, as seen in the episode Secret Origin of Denzel Crocker.
Cosmo seems to be the only other one in the know about this, and has baby pictures of Timmy in a dress on hand
Then, in the episode The Boy Who Would Be Queen…
When Wanda does, inevitably, transform Timmy into a girl to teach him a lesson…
Cosmo immediately panics.
AND in the episode “It’s a Wishful LIfe” when Timmy wishes he never existed…
The Turners have a daughter instead.
In conclusion:
Timmy Turner is trans and used the power of one of his fairy godparents to wish that everyone in his life completely forget that he was born and raised female for a portion of his life, including his parents and his other fairy godparent.
Share to make butch hartman mad he accidentally keeps making characters trans
this was from my freshman year of college, shortly after I came out, when someone sent me to hang out with these two (somehwat) older trans guys to show me that it was gonna be okay
one of them told me about how he got his gender marker changed before it was technically allowed. what he did was he waited until he grew a beard, and then he walked into the dmv and pointed at the f on his liscense and said "there's been a mistake" and they were like "oh sorry about that sir"
hey please help a sister out.. is there any way to watch gay stuff on netflix without the fam knowing?
Yes!
Okay, so what you wanna do is…
As soon as you finish watching your gay stuff, go up to your profile and click “Account”:
Scroll down to “My Profile” and click on “Viewing Activity”:
Find the title you want to “hide” (aka delete from your history):
Click on the “x” next to the movie/series you’re trying to hide.
Clicking that “x” will delete it from your viewing activity AND prevent the title from showing up in the snitch sections of your account, “Recently Watched” and “Continue Watching”.
Boom.
Now you can watch whatever gay stuff you want and your fam won’t know unless you tell them.
(Warning: It might take up to 24hrs to “hide” so plan accordingly.)
Reblog to save a life- all jokes aside I know the struggle and even being out I don’t want anyone know that I’m watching something gay. Hopefully this helps someone enjoy lgbt content with a little less stress.
yo! just a quick thing on it/its pronouns, and how to use them, specifically when writing, because i see this mistake pretty frequently when people are experimenting with using it/its pronouns for themselves, others, or characters:
normally, when referring to someone’s possession, you use an apostrophe, right? “this is leslie’s bag” is an example. another is “max’s car is in the shop”
yeah, it/its pronouns don’t work like that.
“its” is the possessive version of the pronoun. you don’t say “those are it’s clothes,” you say “those are its clothes”
i know, the lack of apostrophe is weird because apostrophes are typically used when someone’s name— or a noun— is possessive. but if you put in the apostrophe, “it’s” becomes “it is” or “it has” which then fucks up the whole sentence and makes it confusing. because you should ONLY use “it’s” as a contraction.
here are some examples:
“twig looked at its outfit”
“benny grabbed its keys and walked out the door”
“it said it’s coming to the party, so it’s probably late”
-
tldr: “its” is possessive, “it’s” is a contraction, and messing that up could accidentally fuck up a sentence
I just want to communicate and celebrate that in this pride month, today, our trans brothers and sisters in Argentina have won a great battle.
Equitable access to formal employment in the public administration is law. According to what was voted today, the State must destinate at least 1 percent of the public administration staff employs (in all the regular contracting modalities) to transvestite, trans and transgender people.
This is a huge step in breaking down the barrier that prevents trans people from accessing formal employment and living wages.
The law is named after two great trans activists of Argentina: Diana Sacayan and Lohana Berkins and was voted almost in unanimity.
im sorry i have to point this out but TWERFs are smart. keep reading. they intentionally employ tactics that they know will get people to switch to their side.
they know how to argue people in. they were argued in. they know about nontransfemnine people’s latent transmisogyny and they know that we are not as vigilant as we should be. they make popular posts.
they are undercover. they pretend to be allies. there are nonbinary TWERFs and TWERFs that are WOC. keep reading. these people have been coerced in and know how to coerce others in. there are many different ways, and there are many different things to look out for.
when i say don’t argue with TWERFs, when i say ignore them and don’t give them a platform in the first place, it’s not a giving up tactic. it’s because TWERFs know that if they can point out one tiny flaw in your logic, or spout some bullshit that some nontransfeminine person has thought about before, they’ve hooked someone.
TWERFs count on preying on the young and impressionable, the people that don’t know or talk to transfeminine people. this has to be pointed out. the only reason i know this is because i am not transfeminine and i have seen many of my peers, not transfeminine, fall to them.
stop arguing that they’re stupid. don’t let your guard down.
EDIT: and they are only one specific type of transmisogyny so watch yourself
I feel like it’s pertinent to explicitly say, although OP touched on it:
When TERFs “debate” you, the purpose is not to convert YOU to their ideology. The purpose is to change the mind of onlookers. Even if you are 100% confident in the necessity of maintaining an alliance with trans women, there is at least one of your followers who is NOT.
Don’t debate TERFs. Don’t boost their ideology. Don’t let them misconstrue your words and thereby paint you (and, by extension, the entirety of the transfeminine populace) as ridiculous.
It’s so much more important to make space (on you blog, but more importantly, offline) for the voices of trans women. Share the writings of trans female thinkers. Listen to trans women. Talk to trans women. You might just make some friends in the process.
They're gonna team up to fight the Armies of Transphobia.
New Smash lineup looks great!
Adding more to the list
If I may

Current Mood: Crying While Watching Blue’s Clues Pride Song
It’s sung to the tune of The Ants Go Marching One By One song!!!
Another reason why Blues Clues and You is like the best reboot ever
some highlights from the notes 💖
Stop.
Oh, my god. I’m already crying with asexuality included.
Now you’re telling me other groups feel the same way?
There’s legit tears down my face.

The more you look at it the more you love it.
The drag queen is holding a BLM sign.
There’s a Hijabi on the all races float (and if you look closely at the flag, I think the owl is indigenous).
One of the babas is disabled.
They could have just stopped at including all the flags.
But no. They said “I don’t care if they’re animals. I’m going to make it very clear we’re including all races and disabled people.”
And it’s such small details, but they’re there.
-fae
Found 2 more hidden BLM flags.
And I consider myself pretty versed in queer identities, but even I don’t know what some of these flags are.
Which really shows that you’ve never had the opportunity to feel validated like this, and that makes me love it even more.

I already made my own post about this as well, but it seems like a good idea to add the info on this post too, since it’s really taken off. There are (at least) 30 different flags plus assorted other representation. They include:
Pride, Progress Pride, BLM Progress Pride, Lesbian, Gay Man
Trans, Nonbinary — Dolphin wheelchair user, Top surgery beaver
Gender Queer, Genderfluid, Intersex Demigender, Demiboy, Demigirl, Bisexual, Pansexual, Asexual, Demisexual, Gray Asexual, Aromantic — Blind bird
Bigender, Genderflux, Omnisexual, Neutrois, Maverique, Pangender, Drag — llama(?) with prosthetic leg
Trigender, Ally, Two-Spirit, and Gender Questioning — Hijabi owl and Native American owl
I’m so fucking happy for the LGBTQ+ kids that have things like this to let them know they’re valid
This much representation including stuff I’ve never fucking seen before
and in a KIDS show, like that’s insane, people will finally grow up knowing it’s ok to exist
Blues clues did their research, said LGBTQ+ rights and fucking meant it bruh

Heyo! With pride month starting, here's a quick comic on pride Etiquette, a short guide / general tips on treating lgbt+ people, for the new, curious, and those who forgot!
1) Treat people's identities as the indisputable truth. Even if you don't think they fit the definition, even if you don't understand (the identity), even if you think they're lying, even if they're a bad person. It's not your job nor your business to tell people what to call themselves. Unless they ask for your opinion, only the individual can make that decision.
*There's very few times when an identity can actually be harmful. This includes predatory labels, labels that are bigoted by definition, or people identifying with culture-specific labels when they're not part of that culture. Otherwise, leave them be!
2) Respect and use people's pronouns, regardless of how you feel about them! If you don't know how they work, ask! If you accidentally misgender someone, correct yourself and move on! No need for lengthy or dramatic apologies. However, also make sure to ask when it's appropriate to use them! Someone may not be out to parents, certain friends, etc, and will ask you to purposefully misgender them for safety.
3) LGBT+ people are not responsible for someone else's anti-lgbt+ views! Strange, unbelievable or confusing identities do not cause bigots to be bigots- the lgbt+ community was made because we don't fit society's box, don't fall into the trap of forcing people into another one! If they're not actually hurting anyone, then leave them be!
4) You're not expected to learn every single lgbt+ term / identity. Nobody knows all of them, not even lgbt+ people, so don't worry about it! Simply learn and ask questions as you go!
5) If you're curious about someone's identity, ask if they're comfortable with questions first! There's no harm in educating yourself, but sometimes we get tired of being walking encyclopedias!
Thanks for reading, and happy Pride!!!
less “if you see a man and woman together at pride be nice! they could be bi/pan/trans/ace/aro” and more “stop gendering strangers to harass them anywhere, but especially at pride holy shit”
you know what? i want this to reach the people who do this– especially the ones claiming to support trans folk (usually in really hollow ways lol i’m not bitter). keep reblogging– i want this sentiment to be widespread and for people to stop gendering strangers! especially in explicitly LGBTQ+ spaces!
dont ask me why i made this but happy pride
