Amy Pond & Buffy Summers => Doctor Who and Buffy the Vampire Slayer (SlayerWho)

Joss Whedon and Steven Moffet should join forces. SRSLY.

I just can't stay away from this pairing anyways.

---

Amy crept closer to Buffy's back porch. She had enjoyed her latest travels with the Doctor, but now, she needed to give Buffy her Valentines Day surprise... a trip!

She knew that Buffy only semi-believed her tales, and she wanted to show Buffy the wonders of the universe.

'I just have to wait for my past self to run out the back door, and then I can move in,' she thought.

She waited, and waited, and waited. She was about to march up to the back door to berate her past self when she saw Buffy exit the house quietly.

'Hang on,' Amy thought, 'this didn't happen...'

She watched as Buffy broke down and fell to pieces in front of her, curled into a ball on the porch.

Amy couldn't hold back any longer--screw the rules about crossing timelines--because Buffy was crying and that's simply not alright.

"Hey love," she said softly, moving closer, "What'd I do? Please don't cry..."

Buffy looked up, crying, shocked, and utterly miserable.

Amy continued "...as soon as the other me is gone, you and I can... why are you staring at me like that?"

Buffy made no move to stand. She just stared.

"Where the HELL have you been?" she whispered brokenly. "It's been two years and you just VANISHED."

Amy shook her head, "No, it's Valentines day, 2001, I've got a surprise for you, and we..." her voice trailed off as she realized, "Oh, bugger..."

Buffy turned her face away, "How could you leave?" she murmured as Amy slowly ventured closer, "I trusted you, I trusted you not to leave and you did."

Amy sank down beside her on the porch, closing her eyes and silently cursing the TARDIS, the Doctor, and the entire bloody universe.

"I'm so sorry..." she whispered.

Buffy swallowed and said nothing.

"Happy Valentines Day?" Amy offered meekly, fighting tears.

There was nothing else to say.

---

Yesh, a sad ending. I've done a happy ending and an uncertain one already, so why not a sad one? And on VALENTINES DAY, NO LESS! I'm cruel. ...But you love me.

I made the graphic and I wrote the ficlet.

Hope you like it! xxx

Amy Pond and Buffy Summers — The Slayer + The Potential

I love this crossover. I call it Slayerwho. :)

---

Buffy was restlessly pacing in the cemetery when Amy joined her. No activity so far and she was, god forbid, bored. When she saw Amy approaching, her eyes brightened.

“Hey, beautiful!” she called “Here to help me kill dead things?”

Amy laughed, vaulting gracefully over a short tombstone, “Heel, girl!” she called, and then tripped over another grave.

Buffy laughed as Amy face-planted into the damp grass.

“Not funny, missy,” Amy grumped, pushing her hair back. She stood, and then her eyes came to rest on the statue behind her laughing lover. The angel statue. The weeping angel statue. She froze.

Buffy noticed “It’s all in good fun, British girl,” she grinned, turning to pace again “It’s too quiet around here…”

“That’s the problem, Buffy,” Amy murmured, keeping her eyes glued to the angel statue. The stature that Amy knew very well was not a statue, rather, a being that quantum-locked into stone when it felt it was being perceived.

“Geez, what’s got your goat?” Buffy said, turning to pace again. She looked up at Amy’s stony face in surprise.

“Buffy, walk towards me. Now.” Amy said urgently, eyes glued to the angel statue.

“What’s up?” Buffy said, curious, turning to face her.

“Remember what I told you last week?” Amy said, backing slowly away, “About traveling with the Doctor?”

“The Silence thingies that erase themselves from your mind?” Buffy said disbelievingly, then added “Ooh, is there one behind me?”

Amy shook her head, “No, it’s far worse than that…”

Buffy gave her a look of skepticism “Oh, the Dar-leks?”

Amy began winking one eye, and then another, “No,” she snapped “For gods sake, get over here. It’s a weeping angel.”

Buffy looked behind her, eyebrows raised, then turned back to Amy “Seriously?”

“Yes!” Amy shouted, irritated and scared, “Now for God’s sake get over here!”

Amy blinked. The angel moved. Buffy whirled to stare. “H-how is that possible?”

“Quant-at-um-locked, or something,” Amy said, “They can’t move when you’re lookin’ at ‘em.”

Buffy gripped her stake more tightly, a security blanket, “And when you don’t?”

Amy glanced at her briefly, “They come after you.”

They stared into each other’s fearful eyes for a nanosecond, and then swung out to stare. The angel had moved again. And there were more angels emerging from the trees.

The girls began to back away in unison.

“Well,” Buffy said, her voice more high pitched than usual, “That explains the quiet night…”

“Yeah,” Amy said, winking one eye, then the other, “I bet Demon’s potential lives are a helluva lot longer than a human’s…”

“How do I kill them?” Buffy said, raising her useless stake.

Amy spun to see another wave of angels making their way towards the slayer and the potential, and shuddered, “You can’t.”

They were surrounded.

The Potential Who Cared...

Stills from a recent crossover video I made.

---

Chaos surrounds her. Amy feels afraid for the first time.

She hadn’t been afraid when the demons with no eyes had stalked her and murdered Rory when he tried to protect her. Oh, God… Rory. His death had made her so strong and so weak. She loved him and she never told him. When the man named Rupert Giles found her crying over Rory’s body and tried to explain that she was special, that the ‘Bringers’ had wanted her dead, not Rory, that he had just gotten in the way, she had cried harder. Because he didn’t have to die. It should have been her.

The blond American Slayer, Buffy Summers, had shown her that she could take her pain, her anger, and her love for Rory, and use it as fuel to fight evil… her greatest weaknesses become a weapon against the demons.

She fought back.

And somehow, somewhere along the way, she fell for the woman who helped her heal.

It was mad, of course, because Buffy thinks only of others and of saving the world. Buffy’s been hurt by so many that maybe she can’t ever love anyone, let alone another woman.

But Amy knows that she will never move on from this, just like she will never forget Rory and how much he loved her.

It’s ironic, really, that things have come full circle. Instead of being the object of desire, she is the one who desires.

It takes her breath away every time she realizes that she is ‘The Potential who loves The Slayer’.

And this moment is one of those. Surrounded by the chaos of the final battle against The First Evil.

Buffy’s been stabbed, run through, struck down by one of the demons during the final battle… and Amy’s heart stops.

She drops her weapon and runs to Buffy’s side as she drops to the ground.

“Buffy,” she begs, “Please get up!”

Buffy forces her head up and locks eyes with Amy.

“Amy,” she murmurs, “I’m done.”

Amy shakes her head spastically, and thinks ‘This must be how Rory felt’. “You can’t be done,” she protests, “We need you. The world needs you.” She pauses, swallows, and mutters “I need you.”

Buffy blinks, surprised, wincing in pain, “Amy…” she says slowly, and Amy cuts her off.

“Iloveyou,” she rushes, “I love you so much… please don’t give up.”

Buffy swallows and they share moment of silence, despite the chaos raging around them.

Buffy stands, slowly and in obvious pain, taking her hand, and saying “Alright.”

The moment ends, like all moments do, and they return to the fray.

But things are different now. Because there is a new love to use as a weapon.

And the First Evil is going to loose.

We can’t jump from skyscrapers like River Song or point guns at CIA agents like Irene Adler, however much we admire them for it. But we can be thoughtful and we can be kind. We can choose a career we love and we can be a friend to someone who needs us. I can’t hope to be Irene or River, but I can be Molly. I would rather be Molly. Molly Hooper is important because she’s not just my hero, but my sister’s as well, and the hero of a hundred other girls who look at her and think, that’s the woman I’d like to see in the mirror. Perhaps she’s even more important to the girls – quiet, kind, stumbling over their words and wishing they could be as cool as River Song – who already see her there.
