I was just thinking about Hook and Rumpel and i’m not sure why i haven’t realized it before but they are each other’s creations. Milah leaving Rumpel and Bae for Hook and then Hook’s haughty attitude during all of that coupled with Bae about the be shipped out into the giant’s war years later pushed Rumpel to become the Dark One. Hook didn’t create Rumpel but his actions led to Rumpel making the choice. Then by killing Milah, Rumpel pushed Killian to become Hook and to be this suicidal pirate deadset on revenge, his own death or both if possible. Again, Rumpel didn’t create Hook but he influence his decision to become the person he became.
It’s just all very neat and circular and it makes me really wonder what the endgame with their conflict will be. Technically if they are each other’s creations, wouldn’t it be interesting if they were also each other’s undoing?
