Do you know any lucifer fic where he’s blind or gets blinded?
Allow me to shed some light on this for you, brother. Once upon a time, there was an angel of Light; he was proud and guided by a desire of unique existence for himself. An angel to whom his brothers, sisters and Father had taken away his sight as a right penance for his faults.
via luciferprompts: "What if the light bringer lost his sight, temporarily? (Perhaps he got injured in the eyes whilst in Chloe’s vicinity.) What happens next?"
Lucifer is blind, darkness is eating at his soul and an old fear shows her teeth and claws.
In the beginning, he hadn't really noticed it. He was one of the first beings of creation, after all, and most of these things simply hadn't been invented yet. One doesn't invent seeing before one invents light, after all - it would be like trying to whittle a chair from a log currently being used as a bench.
Messy, and rather time-consuming, with lots of pointless complications.
God blinds Lucifer and casts him out of Heaven. Lucifer adjusts.
There was a chuckle, and Lucifer tilted his head in its general area.
“Born or acquired?”
“A recently acquired lesson from my brother, Raphael,” he snarled before shouting Heavenwards, “But knowing him, it’s his totally unoriginal idea of a practical joke!”
In which Lucifer goes blind for a day but manages to gain some thoughtful insight all the same.
Summary:
Chloe and Mazikeen are just trying to blow off some steam until Lucifer crashes the party, accidentally revealing his true identity.
As Chloe tries accept what Lucifer is and make sense of the trail of empyrean bizarreness that she has been oblivious to for the past few years. A string of strange deaths occur that Lucifer knows to be a calling card of another being from hell who has decided to visit topside complicating things further, turning her life into a spider web of truths she is now all too tangled in.
It doesn’t make it easier that she has to work closely with Lieutenant Pierce who seems all too interested in her for all the wrong reasons.
