This is Asher. Asher’s mom Meagan Richter Nash thinks her 15-month-old son would be the perfect child model.

After all, he has the chubby cheeks, the bright blue eyes and the winning, contagious smile.

So over the summer, she responded to a local online modeling agency open call for a Carter’s ad.

An agent emailed her back saying they wouldn’t be submitting his photos, “because the criteria didn't specify they were looking for a baby with special needs.”

It turns out, the agency just assumed that Carter's, wouldn't want a child with special needs in their ads.

Nash took to Facebook to fight for Asher’s right to be a model.

His photos have been shared more than 125,000 times.

"It's important to feature people with special needs in advertisement for three reasons. The first reason is inclusion," Nash said.

According to the Fashion Spot's latest report, which tallied 299 fashion shows and 8,832 model appearances in New York, London, Milan and Paris, the Spring 2017 runways were the most inclusive to date, with 25.35% of models cast being people of color. But two often ignored groups continued to make up a tiny percentage of castings.

The Emmy-winning actress has time and time again made a bold statement by wearing her hair natural on magazine covers, during numerous red carpet appearances and on her show. Davis has realized that her beauty isn't determined by her outside appearance or what others might've deemed beautiful. She elaborated on this epiphany by using a powerful metaphor about stepping on a scale.

Every day of New York Fashion Week, Taylor has showed up in several different front rows looking chic as hell. She has never repeated an outfit. She has never let us down. NYFW isn't even over yet and yet we're ready to deem her the true style queen of New York Fashion Week. Her most notable look so far has been the dazzling gold motorcycle jacket she rocked at The Blonds' show.

Since the launch of his eponymous brand in 2008, Christian Siriano has made a point of dressing women of all shapes and sizes. But it wasn't until he created a beautiful red gown for Leslie Jones in July that he started to get the recognition he deserved as a true champion for diversity. And the front row was full of inspirational celebs just as diverse.

In an unusual turn of pop cultural events, Kanye West has upset people. On Saturday, the rapper/designer tweeted a casting call for his upcoming Yeezy Season 4 show, inviting only "multiracial women" to audition. While some white people proceeded were upset about colorism, others highlighted another deeply problematic aspect of the casting.

CRWN is a new magazine devoted to natural hair — and it’s a f*cking dream come true

At this year's Afropunk Festival in Brooklyn, New York, people milled about between sets from Ice Cube, Janelle Monáe and TV on the Radio by booths selling jewelry by black artisans or comic books starring black characters. There were shops for soap and African foldable flats and art and candles — something for everybody.

But tucked into one booth over the weekend, was something special. In one booth, there were the first few copies of the first issue of CRWN, a lifestyle magazine for natural hair and the women who wear it, up for grabs.

It might not seem like a radical idea, after all there are magazines devoted to seemingly everything under the sun from cats to yarn, but with stories about natural hair (both the celebration of and attempts to curb it) popping up more frequently than ever, an outlet devoted entirely to the topic feels all the more prescient.

The idea for CRWN started with a conversation back in 2014.
