Even before New York Fashion Week began, there was good reason to expect that this would be the most diverse yet. The Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) sent a letter to all CFDA members before NYFW that included "racial diversity pointers provided by the Diversity Coalition." That being said, racial diversity was actually lower than Spring Fashion Week — despite the racial inclusivity of two major designers.

WEP is also urging the British Fashion Council to enforce a new rule for inclusivity that we wish we had here.

H&M has been preaching size inclusivity by casting curvy models in its campaigns, but has quietly decided to remove the plus-size section from some of its stores. According to an H&M representative who spoke with Revelist, H&M Plus is still offered "in the majority of U.S. locations." The publication researched just how many stores carried the line and discovered some major hypocrisy.
