Loki costume differences.  

Shoulder pauldron is missing. No strap across his torso. And the wide shoulder pads are gone. Its closer to what it was in Thor.

The metal under the lapels is new..or at least it wasn’t visible in any of the previous iterations. The sleeves look less elaborately bound than the Avengers costume, but the vambraces look the same.

I can’t believe this is the first look we’re getting for this costume. 

It looks like a jacket lapel in metal actually. Also, I noted that his chest plate is different now. We’re back to Thor 1 in how fabrics are wrapped over it, not the chest plate being smaller and fabric underneath, plus it’s higher up around the neck. And yes, the arms are less elaborate too. It seems like the cut is slimming him like in Thor 1. It’s actually quite a big difference between Thor 2 and Avengers. The green is the same as in Avengers though, as is the metals, though they look a bit more aged actually.

Over all it seems like Loki has decided less is more. Well, considering it’s him anyway.

I agree that it’s strange this is how we find out more. Why?
