I hope so. I know the title and the protagonist of the next story in it.
This short story, and particularly the audiobook version, is one of my favorite things of all time. It’s like a perfect little one-man radio play. I would be so happy if there was another installment.
Me, trying to convince someone to watch Mirrormask: It’s like Labyrinth, but if Jareth was your mom and Hoggle was the hot one.
A song I wrote, sung by the The Flash Girls a long time ago. It’s an all-purpose folk song, good for any occasion and containing within it all other songs.
A few years ago I was trying to put together a folk duo with a friend also named Sarah. We were called Spongecake and The Twist of Lime, and we were going to cover this song.
When I was going through a rough time a few years ago, at a job I hated, I clipped out a few bits from movies, TV shows, or YouTube videos with some sort of calming or positive message and put them on my ipod, to watch when things got bad. This was probably my favorite.
I was inspired to put this up because I just learned that neil-gaiman‘s Mirrormask is 10 years old. This movie has been a “put it on in the background when getting work done” and a “watch when things are bad and I need to escape” movie for me for almost those 10 years. If you’ve never seen it, you really ought to get on that.
11: Talk about the best dream you've ever had.
One time I dreamed that I went to a convention and there was a panel that was just Amanda Palmer reading poetry while Neil Gaiman played with kittens at her feet, but that was not my best dream.
I also dreamed once that I was playing River Song in a stage adaptation of Doctor Who, and Helen Mirren came backstage to congratulate me on my performance. But that was ALSO not the best dream I’ve ever had.
I even dreamed one time that I was doing karaoke and Jonathan Coulton saw me and invited me to go on tour with him, which is the closest I’ve ever come to dreaming about something I’d actually want to happen. STILL NOT THE BEST.
In my most complicated dream ever, aliens had erased all monetary values from the planet in a sort of social experiment, and I lived in New York with a boyfriend who owned a record store, and when giant robot ants attacked the city, I had to leave my cat behind so I started singing “Into The Woods” to him. But that was only my SECOND BEST dream.
In my best dream ever, Frank Turner, Jerry Holkins, and I fought a bunch of fake-hugger slime aliens while at a The Who concert in the 70s. The final thing I thought before waking up was, “I can’t believe I got to save the planet and meet Pete Townshend all on the same day!”
BONUS: The next day I tweeted about the dream, and Frank Turner responded, “I remember that! That was ace.”
The interviewer at the Neil Gaiman event kept trying to get him to say that trigger warnings are over sensitive or whatever but he said “I am one hundred percent in favor of people being able to choose not to read things they know they won’t be able to handle”
He also made a point of saying “people with penises” and “people with vaginas” when addressing a question about feminist themes in his writing
I’m so happy about him tbh
Well, yes.
admit it, american gods could've had a much better ending right?
Absolutely. For that matter, everything I’ve written could have had a much better ending. Also a more gripping beginning. And the middles, don’t get me started on the middles. Or the characters, if you can call them characters.
And let’s not get into the sentences.

Neil Gaiman already wrote this. It's called "Forbidden Brides of The Faceless Slaves in The Secret House of The Night of Dread Desire," and it's in Fragile Things.
I had a dream that Neil Gaiman’s stories came true if he wanted them to. Also my house had a fancy dinner party with him. It was lovely.

Tonight I met Neil Gaiman and also learned that Sean Nelson likes my band. Pretty solid day.

Aw come on, guys. Read your shit before you reblog it. This article gives their source as another article which is TWO YEARS OLD, and doesn't even contain most of the information they reported. Someone just asked Gaiman about it on Tumblr, and he said it's a fake.
