It’s incredibly normal to feel lost in every age range but especially in your 20s.
People and society tell you you’re an adult now and treat you like you should have a plan for your life or who you want to be but you yourself are barely out of being a kid.
Some 20 year olds get jobs immediately others stay in school to study. As a 20 year old you have no clue what the fuck to do with your life. You hear of so many things you should do when your in your 20s
Have experience, in what? Ah figure that out yourself, you’re an adult now you should know
Have friends and a job to build life experiences
Have a place to live at independently of your family
Have the best years of your life cause everything will go down hill when you hit 30.
And that’s also the thing that fucks me up so much because people that tell you this shit basically blame you for being young und uncertain but in the same fucking breath, they tell you that the world is shit, that everything sucks and that who you are or want to be is often wrong.
I experienced it so much that others would blame people in their 20s for being depressed or hopeless and believing the world will end and that they should be more hopeful towards the future. But then in the same fucking breath basically agree to all your anxieties and fears. You turn on the news depending where you life, you’ll likely won’t hear “hey guys, it’s difficult now but everything will be alright.”
I don’t blame them for feeling lost
Sorry, seeing this post just activated something in me.
I’m just sick of older people blaming people in their 20s for being lost. The world is so damn complicated and confusing it takes time to find your place, it takes time to figure out who you want to be and it take time to find a way how to get there
