Nami compliments them on their couples costume and sanji immediately tries to drown himself
I love this, actually
Excerpt (One Shot)
[...] he sometimes dreamed of those counted numbers, [...] he counted them in Zoro’s voice whenever he took a second to listen to his own racing heartbeat.
Sanji hated it, because he knew how far Zoro had come. How the numbers were always the same, but the weights he was lifting weren’t. How, insanely enough, Sanji was rooting for a sweaty, half naked muscle-head to finish his training session. How his brain was already planning a recipe with perfect nutrients and protein for whichever specific region Zoro had just been training.
‘It’s my job.’ Is what Sanji justifies his actions with when he pushed up his sleeves and went to wash his hands.
That random marine's perspective highlights how dark and brutal the Marineford War was. This episode is a masterpiece .
As someone who mainly reads the manga - everything about this kicks hard
a wisdom hit me while i was in the shower
So, headcanon...
Sanji's brother's don't have emotions, so there isn't really any need for them to have a free will, because they don't have to fight any emotions. His sister has emotions, but her will is definitely not strong enough to fight it.
So... concept: Sanji showed signs of Haki even as a child.
Link to my KoFi XD
Edit:
I just noticed how well this song works for Sanji????

Okay but this would make so much sense in so many ways.
thinking about the fact that in Japanese folklore marimo literally means love, affection and good luck. i refuse to believe that it’s not intentional, it can’t be. i don’t care. just imagine sanji calling zoro marimo and for the latter is just the same lame nickname but for sanji is just the way he can express his feelings
fun fact; the moss balls are very easy to care for they require just water once a week. this is literally zoro im crying
Excuse me, I need a source before my brain explodes
So like, we know that Sanji has the curly brows from his biological father but like - those are still swirls that are all over the devil fruits.
So question is: if you ate a Vinsmoke -
sanji is having a crisis, its fine
(i plan to make this a comic in five parts. may take quite a while for the next to come out)
What I really love about this is the implies inner conflict Sanji is having. Kamabakka island tore so hard at his perception of masculinity and here Zoro is, not giving a fuck, not feeling threatened in his identity at all.
This doesn't even have to be about shipping either, it's simply brilliant.
The two sides of the Zosan coin:
- Let Sanji know Zoro ate a stomped sugar onigiri off the floor.
- Let Zoro know Sanji was trained as a swordsman.
Guys, I had a vision:
Imagine:
Luffy: Hey Sanji, I heard you wanna get married
Sanji: I don't want to. I have to. My family-
Luffy: Robin just told me that if I say you're married, it's legal
Sanji: but who would I-
Luffy: You're married now, Sanji. You can't get married again. Yay, I did it!
Sanji: but... To whom?
Luffy: Guys, Sanji is staying!
Sanji: to WHOM?!?!
Luffy: I want meat!
Sanji: to fucking WHOM?
And that's that.
To write stories I like to arrange little meetings in my head where I get to know the characters in their natural habitat. I try to avoid shipping at this point because at that moment, they are real people with feelings and I'm here for the character before I can use them for a fic.
One piece is... Hard.
Because these people ask me who I am, where I'm from, if I came with a devil fruit, what my dreams are and worse of all, I mentioned that I'm a shipper and now Sanji wants to KNOW who he's being shipped with and dreams about some pretty and curvy woman and stuff.
I can't tell him Pudding's secret and I don't want to break him when he finds out what kind of people he's constantly shipped with.
Please help, the boy is desperate.
I feel like since zoro has never said Sanji's name, it's gonna happen at some point where it means something.
Like, if Sanji ever loses his connection to his humanity, as Sanji feared he would and he still might, Zoro may be the only one able to call him back.
Because it would throw him more than anything else would.
