These collages from Oliver Rasti say it all for me. No matter who you vote for you end up with the same deformed figure head at the helm, implementing the same predetermined policies. America is not, and was never intended to be, a democracy. Real democracy lies in our communities where together we can create real change. And, as an American citizen I believe I have a right to share my two cents on the state of our country.
When Obama was elected in 2008 I published these thoughts, now after the events we have just witnessed in Egypt and Tunisia I felt it was relevant to reiterate them..
"I believe that the movement that we have been witnessing today in Washington and across the world during the elections, primarily via our internet, is no less than a modern day revolution.
Despite what Barrack does or does not do during his presidency I believe that his greatest achievement has already been accomplished. This being, our realization that we the people brought about this change and have the power to do so again."

Lupe Fiasco is my favourite contemporary Hip Hop artist. He is also, I believe, the most important. No other rapper with his amount of appeal is saying what Lupe is saying. I urge you to listen to every word he says on this song and then listen again..
