Hmm… honestly, none of my OCs would dislike them? They’re no strangers to tattoos, and to the uninitiated, that’s all a vallaslin appears to be. So my non-elven Inquisitors would probably just approve of the aesthetics of it (and Delton would love to ask invasive questions about whether or not everything was tattooed).

My elven OCs would probably vary on their desire to have a full-body vallaslin:

Varlen wouldn’t because he struggled enough with the face vallaslin and not making a noise or showing pain. The idea of having it all over his body? No thank you, he will pass ~~out~~!

Nyvera wouldn’t because she prefers her skin to look utterly flawless and unmarked; the envy of all who were lucky enough to lay eyes upon her bare form. She likes them on others, but not on herself.

Hanin would definitely do it, especially if he had been warned against it due to the fact that it would be a painful experience. He would see it as a mark of strength and pride, and would probably show it off rather proudly via significantly more shirtless training sessions ;)

Well…if Hanin’s interested, Thalon knows how to perform the vallaslin rites. And does, in fact, for a number of elves at Skyhold, including an extension of Rion’s body vallaslin.

Maybe Hanin gets curious when he sees Rion’s (since you KNOW he sees Rion’s when they’re training…you know… shirtless and all) and asks Thalon about the possibility…

On the 6th of January 2015 - so, exactly one year ago - I finally started my first playthrough of Dragon Age: Inquisition. It was also the day I decided “hey, let’s first create a test-Inquisitor to see how things go. I can create my planned canon Inquisitor next time. Let’s just do a random Dalish rogue, for old time’s sake. I guess I’ll get bored of him quickly anyways”.

Haha… ha… ha…

That’s the story how Tamlen was “born"… And I hope the day I get bored of him is still far, far away. He and his story didn’t leave me alone all year, so I wanted to create a special piece of art to celebrate “our” first anniversary - in the form of this silly comic (and because I like drawing Tamlen flustered and Dorian naked :’D)

Happy “1st” birthday, Tamlen! Or well… 27th in that comic :D

Thanks for making me laugh (and cry my eyes out) countless times, and for being an invaluable source of inspiration. I’m looking forward to spending more time with you (and Dorian) in the new year as well :D
