“You need to do better if you want to meet your goal.” with Hanin and an OC of your choice? :)
inspiration hit halfway through an entirely different interpretation but hey, that’s how it do. Enjoy some warrior bonding and angry Imari.
The song of colliding steel rang clear into the air and Imari grimaced as the shield dropped from the pulse tingnling numbness shot up her arm to her shoulder. As skilled as she was in two-handed weaponry herself, she knew that Hanin would seize the opportunity. He did just that. Capitalizing on the momentum gained from his prior blow, Hanin cut through the air with a calculated strength behind the swing of the greatsword. Left with no other option, Imari used her spear to halt the blow, already considering how best to approach the quartmaster for yet another replacement spear as the shaft of the weapon fractured and nearly completely gave way under the force of the hit.
In actual combat, Imari would throw down the shield and use the spearhead alone. She would switch to the type of fighting she learned in the bars and backalleys of Llomerryn; brutal, fast-paced series of attacks that would either eviscerate or disorient. But this wasn’t actual combat and practicing the dirty tricks that Imari’s past taught her wasn’t the point of exercise. And since the point of the exercise was using a shield in combat, that meant this round was over. She sighed and dropped her combat-ready stance.
“You need to do better if you want to meet your goal.” Hanin said as he relaxed (well, mostly relaxed, the two elves were a bit too similar in some ways).
