Signs of Love

Maedwyn always reaches for him slowly, savoring every moment it takes to get there. He cradles Dorian’s face with both hands, thumbs brushing the rise of Dorian’s cheekbones, holds him like he is the Maker’s gem.
Often there is no word. Spoken language and the confines of syllables cannot carry the meaning he wants. Maedwyn looks at him instead, just looks at Dorian with soft eyes and a close-mouthed smile that is everything between quiet delight and naked adoration.
And then he kisses him.

Love Maedwyn like this: catch him by the waist, pull him behind a corner in Skyhold for a quick peck on the cheek. Hear him chuckle in surprised pleasure before they must part way, though not without a wink (the Inquisitor) and a smirk (Dorian), the promise that they will see each other again. Very soon.
Love him like this: kiss his wrists, where the veins mark vulnerable purple-blue lines. Do it gently, listen for the pulse flutter; Maedwyn’s sharp intake of breath and shivering exhale. It takes months to find the weakness, one of the few things on a sturdy, slender, scarred frame that reacts so sensitively – so sweetly.

“ teach me how to kiss? ” or "just kiss me already" for Riven and Cullen? :D
Hand in hand, they slowly circled on the balcony. Moon shone off the silver trim of Riven’s tunic, blue eyes sparkling underneath a halo of snow. Eyes that were tired, a body weighed down with all the responsibility of a nation.
A nation she had no wish to belong to.
And yet, she smiled when he had swept a bow, took his hand. Her head resting on his shoulder, he musing about how they weren’t really dancing. More of a slow shuffle.
“Cullen?”
Blinking, he glanced down. Maker, she’s about to fall asleep. He was fully supporting her raised hand now, her feet barely moving now. Humming to herself, she continued.
“I’ve read stories about this.”
“This? Ending civil wars?”
Her lips twisted for a moment, nose scrunching up. Then she shook her head, sighing. “No, dancing. In a palace.”
“…”
“Great halls, extravagant food, spiced wine. Glittering masks, the scent of perfume. It wasn’t a book I’d read often, the subject was pretty frivolous. But I’d be lying if I said I never wondered about it.”
“And you think this relates?”
“Well… yes actually. I mean, I’m not wearing a ballgown, but it’s still a dress. You’re not in armor, but there is a shine to the embellishments. Neither of us are a prince, or princess. Now that I think about it, I never did like the princesses.”
“And why is that?”, laughter slipping from his chest.
She drew her head back, indignant. “They’re always so “Help me! I need you, please! Teach me how to kiss!”. Childish, I suppose.”
“Then maybe I do see the resemblance as well.”
He wasn’t surprised at her huff of impatience, or when she tried to pull back. When he tugged at her, drawing her back in, she gave no resistance. Still laughing, he nuzzled her hair, tipping her chin so he could meet her lips. Warm and soft, he could feel her smile. When she pressed herself closer, he deepened the kiss for a moment, letting her break away for a breath.
She was regarding him critically, eyes sweeping over his face.
“You’d make a terrible prince.”

@vishantekafas Here are Traesa’s precious adopted children, Ilen and Lilya Lavellan! n_n! Ilen is approaching fourteen here, while Lilya is around seven. n_n Lilya’s eyes are a much softer violet, but for some reason the Sims 4 doesn’t have a middle ground between grey and hot pink, haha. :) And they’re both elves, although I don’t have the elf-ears mod. n_n
