A little progress thingy. The difference between digital art and traditional art is similar to reading a real book and an e-book for me. I love both, but mixing the colours and feeling the materials is a more relaxing experience. So I’m trying out a lot at the moment and already spent some joyful hours on this one. I needed a sunny person for the happy colours and @thereluctantinquisitor’s Darren Miller is on my list for some weeks now. :) Hopefully will finish it later this week.

I started out trying to make this funny but it ended up the opposite because I am a monster.
Hanin Lavellan x Josephine Montilyet, dialogue #7. Angst ahoy! (approx 900 words, most under the cut)
“You are very drunk right now.”
“No I’m not. You’re just blurry.”
Hanin let out a humourless laugh at his own response, thengroaned. Leaning back, he placed one hand protectively over his eyes. He could stilltaste the burn of… whatever it had been that he drank over the course of thenight. He had been fine, for a time. But now, even the dim torchlight seemedtoo bright, and as much as he wanted to meet the woman’s gaze with confidence,he didn’t trust himself not to squint. It was probably just one of the recruits,at a loss for direction without him telling them which way was up. At theentrance of the room, he heard her sigh gently, the thread of sound curling throughthe air. The door clicked closed.
“Hanin…”
Hanin frowned. Not Ser?And that voice – that accent – was very familiar…
He bolted upright, eyes snapping open, and the room lurchedsickeningly. Hanin immediately arched forward, bracing his forearms on hisknees shakily, not quite trusting himself to stand and bow.
“Lady Josephine, I…” he paused, swallowing. “I apologise. Idid not realise.”
“Please, there is no need for apology,” she said, her voicegently reaching out to him. It made Hanin’s chest ache all over again. “I…heard what happened. I am so sorry.”
