“’/Let’s just kiss already/’, the Inquisitor practically moaned-’, Creators above I cannot believe someone wrote this!”, Calliope grumbled, throwing the novel down with a huff. Meanwhile Solas could not halt his laughter, the mere concept of the book was enough for him to delve into a fit, and it was not getting any better hearing his lover read the actual thing. Out loud.

“We will have to pass it on to Varric, perhaps we can see if the author can be persuaded to stop”, the elven man finally got out, glancing over at Calliope who glared daggers at him from across the couch.

“I seriously doubt Varric will do anything with this but keep it for shits and giggles”

“That is a valid point but he could also contact them to give proper advice on erotica”

Calliope’s pointed ears nearly flattened all the way against her head at that thought and she just decided to drop the waste of paper onto the ground, later she would dispose of it properly. By burning it. She could feel Solas’ eyes follow her movements as she attempted to get comfortable again, he was still smiling, the bastard. At least he was amused, she had tried to feel that way about the writing but it left a bad taste in her mouth when she thought about it. The mage leaned forward as Calliope rested her head against the back of the couch, brushing away a lock of silver hair from her face, his thumb staying for a moment more as he caressed her cheekbone. Gradually his smile faded as he studied her more.

“Does it bother you that someone would write about you that way?”

Calliope averted her eyes to the mural behind them, “Honestly it does a little bit. I was really only curious about the book and thought it might be funny to read, but the more I think about it… It feels wrong”

“It is alright, vhenan, you can be upset about it all you would like. After all they are writing about you without any insight to you personally”

Comfort flooded Calliopes limbs at Solas’ words, she was glad he didn’t think she was overreacting. Later she might have to have Sera track the producer of the book and have her whack them over the head though. A smile lit up her face as she shifted around so she laid against Solas’ chest, his arms encircling her and their legs intertwined.

“I did think one part was accurate”

“And what was that, /ma lath/?” Solas murmured.

“They had me paired with you”
