That was the scene where I really got hit by the fact that this was happening. It was a scene where we actually said goodbye. It was a very emotional scene to shoot. We got to really think about what she would be contributing to him at this moment. She’s bringing him that love and that affirmation, and that reminder that he is this beautiful man that she respects – who never gives up, and fights for his own. He always finds a way.
