What do you think high school au ragnarssons + Margrethe + freydis + torvi would be like at prom? Who are the prom king and queen? Who is on the cleaning committee? Who guards the punch bowl? Who sits in a corner glaring at everyone?
Awesome question sweetie. ❤
I hope you don’t mind me changing it up just a little. I’d like to establish thier personalities in High School instead. That way, you can kind of picture how the Prom would play out.😂

Ivar: The Popular Loner
Despite being liked by most of the faculty and students, he prefers to keep to himself. During lunch, you can find his wheelchair parked underneath a tree in the quad or in stairwells (on days he using his leg braces).
His best friend is Alfred. Though total opposites, they have a great bond. Oddly enough, Ivar enjoys listening to Alfred play the violin or go over his notes for the latest school play. This of course means that no one harasses Alfred for fear of his best friend.
Surprisingly, Ivar plans on attending the Prom with Freydis. She doesn’t think it’ll be fun but doesn’t say anything since he wants to go.
(Big Secret: Ivar corners and threatens anyone that bullies Sigurd. After all, they may not always get along, but they’re still brothers.)
Alfred: The Artistic Geek
As part of the Performing Arts Academy, Alfred is a talented young man. He not only plays several instruments; to include the piano; but he has one of the most beautiful singing voices around. On top of finding time to be this musically inclined, Alfred is also a playwright.
Being this creative, it’s no surprise that he’s close friends with Sigurd. In fact, the curly-haired Ragnarsson is his other best friend. However, since Ivar and Sigurd don’t get along, Alfred finds himself splitting his time between the two.
As expected, this often angers Ivar who then becomes passive-aggressive. This causes Aethelred to tease Alfred regularly. “What’s wrong? Are you and your boyfriend Ivar fighting again?”
Despite being such a quiet and studious person, Alfred’s pretty popular. Thanks to his circle of friends of course.
Though, Alfred wasn’t sure that he wanted to attend the Prom, Ivar insists. Besides, he’s already asked Freydis to get a date for his shy BFF.
Bjorn: The Popular Jock
He’s not a much of a talker but he doesn’t have to be. After all, he’s the captain of both the Basketball and Soccer team.
When off the court/field, Bjorn enjoys hanging out with his best friends Aethelred and Ubbe. These three amigos may not be overtly devious but they enjoy playing a prank or two. Especially on Principal Athelstan.
Bjorn is dating the foreign exchange student from Ethiopia and has already asked her to Prom. And though he’s in the running for Prom King, he thinks the entire thing is stupid.
Aethelred: The All American
He’s hot and brooding but also quite charismatic. Extremely gifted in athletics, Aethelred’s a star player on the Basketball, Football and Baseball teams.
Much like his best friends Ubbe and Bjorn, Aerhelred doesn’t mind getting a laugh at the expense of others. This means that he even picks on his little brother Alfred as well as Sigurd. However, it’s all in good fun.
Being popular, Aethelred is in the running for Prom King too. But he doesn’t care if he wins or not. As long as he gets the chance to play one last prank on Principal Athelstan, he’ll be happy.
By the way, Athelred is going solo to Prom. He’s sees no point in limiting his flirtation that night to just one girl.
Ubbe: The Most Popular
Ubbe, Bjorn and Aethelstan may run the school due to their athletic abilities and good looks. But Ubbe turns it up a notch. He’s not only adored by the student body but he’s loved by the faculty. He’s beyond personable and can manipulate like no other.
He knows how to make female students and teachers swoon with just one look.
Already being scouted by Professional Baketball teams, Ubbe’s unsure if he wants to skip college or not. But there’s still time to think that over.
The more pressing issue is who to take to prom. His two exes, Torvi and Margrethe think it will be one of them. However, they couldn’t be more wrong.
As a jock; who’s in the running for Prom King; Ubbe doesn’t want to be predictable. And so, he asks Alfred to help him get a date with his shy friend Maria.
(Big Secret: Ubbe’s the one who keyed Janitor Floki’s car)
Hvitserk: The Most Likely to Suceed
Hvitserk never has a problem getting attention. Not by being loud or obnoxious but because of his good-looks and intelligence. Despite being reserved, in and out of class, he’s got a perfect GPA. Making both Ragnar and Aslaug proud with early acceptance letters from Ivy League schools.
Not only is he highly intelligent, but Hvitserk isn’t afraid to take on unusual activities. He’s the only Ragnarsson to ever join the school’s Event Planning Committe.
Though all his brothers mocked him, Hvitserk didn’t drop it. After all, he really enjoys being responsible for every detail of the Prom, especially the catering.
As far as a date for the event, Hvitserk’s has decided to go solo. He and Aethelred both prefer to be free of a clingy date the entire night.
Sigurd: The Music Academy Protege
To say that Sigurd is a talented soul is putting things lightly. He plays nearly every instrument but is a master of the piano, violin and guitar. Just like his best friend Alfred, Sigurd dreams of using his talents to make a way in life.
Though he’s received acceptance letters to various schools, he keeps one specific letter hidden. It’s for a prestigious Arts school in New York. The same one Ivar got angry with him for applying to.
Despite behaving like he dislikes Sigurd, the youngest Ragnarsson was offended that he wanted to go to school out of state. Sigurd figures he could wait till after Prom to tell everyone of his intention to attend school far away.
Though shy, Sigurd does have a girlfriend. A sweet girl named Amber who recently transferred to their school.
Even though he didn’t want to go to Prom, Amber has convinced him. Now, Ubbe and Aethelred won’t shut up about websites with the best tuxedos.
Aethelstan: The Nice Principal
Despite what everyone thinks, Principal Aethelstan takes his own approach to running things. From unique field trips and activities, to meditation circles, he’s a peculiar authority figure.
Though his methods are strange, the parents can’t say that they don’t work. After all, the High School is rated one of the best in the country.
Still, that doesn’t stop the students from playing pranks on him. The latest being the school-wide confetti drop orchestrated by Ubbe, Bjorn and Aethelred.
In spite of his son Alfred being a student, Aethestan tries to not be overbearing or nosey. Unlike Judith, who shows up to the school unannounced all the time.
Floki: The Creepy Janitor
The students aren’t sure if it’s true or not, but rumor is that the janitor is a convict. Not only that, but they think he served time for murder but got away with many more.
Floki doesn’t help his case by glaring at the students and laughing at inappropriate times. Oddly enough, the only one bold enough to talk to the Janitor is Ivar and most recently Alfred (forced by Ivar of course).
Floki hates Principal Aethelstan to a frightening degree but for some odd reason, the young Principal won’t fire him.
You can hear Floki mumbling to himself about wanting to kill the Aethelstan if you get close enough.
