LADYNOIR>>>>
Me trying to explain that Ladynoir is the true endgame for Adrien and marinette. Like yes they could both live peaceful lives without ever telling each other the truth or getting involved in that way. But they literally understood each other better with the mask, they had a true friendship and an actual relationship the way none of the other love square ships did until season 5. They knew each other so well and truly trusted not to mention I don't think they ever loved anyone the way they loved each other. You cannot tell me Ladybug ever saw anyone in terms of a friend, partner or love that she did Cat noir. Like omg girly was in love for those few episodes. And omg Cat Noir never loved Marinette the way he loved Ladbug, yes he loved her but definitely not in the same way. Overall LADYNOIR SUPREMACY.
My friend: 😑
Hi
today I sent you a message saying I am in need of your humanitarian assistance. It is very difficult for me to ask for help, and I am sorry if it is really annoying to you, but we have lost everything we have and the feeling is very harsh.💔
So please don't ignore, because your donation is very important today.
I need your help to get out of the consequences of war to the artery of safety and life.
I will be very grateful.🫂
My children send you greetings. 👋👶
PLEASE HELP! REPOST THEIR STORY OR DONATE OR DO ANYTHING PLEASE!!
i actually can't process why people don't like mai. is it because of the "i just asked if you were cold" scene. is that it. okay LISTEN i will go to bat for her. she says it herself in the beach episode, she's been raised to not share her opinion or like. care about anything. she probably deflects in that moment because it's obviously an emotionally heavy conversation and she's been told her entire life not to share her feelings. or share other people's feelings, tbh.
she's ngl pretty incompatible as a match for zuko, who is constantly full of feelings, and needs someone who can help him work through them in his life, like iroh or katara. but that does not make mai the stone cold bitch y'all haters want her to be. i promise she's fluffy on the inside, the stone cold bitch is but a thin outer shell that protects all the love and care she contains within herself
This!!! I love Mai and while she and Zuko weren't good for each other in their teenage years, they definitely could work things out later on. Even if they don't she was still a great character and doesn't deserve the hate Zutara shippers give her.
yall need to stop this “but katara choose aang!” nonsense because a) idk how she personally told you that when she doesn’t exist and b) even if katara were a real woman, this is some choice feminism bs that willfully ignores a lot of the social pressures and dynamics within heterosexual relationships that kat.aang as a relationship taps into both within the world of atla & as a narrative.
the creators themselves have alluded to the fact that katara & aang’s relationship draws from the trope of a younger boy pining after an older, more mature woman who doesn’t give him the time of day at first but is eventually brought around with his persistence and determination to win her heart.
and this dynamic bleeds through into the show itself, especially when aang is talking to people about katara. he is told multiple times that she’ll come around because he’s the avatar and that all he needs to do is not give up. the social dynamics of the kat.aang relationship even within atla reflects the prevalent narrative around straight relationships in our world: if you keep trying, the girl you like will obviously give you a chance eventually, because how could she not?
that’s troubling enough but then comes the second half of book 3, and now this narrative isn’t reflected just in those around aang, but in aang himself. what began as a sweet, harmless adolescent crush warps into something more dangerous, more familiar: entitlement. the aang of ember island players is one who demands katara’s love, not one who wishes for it. just look at the language used here:
i thought we were going to be together, but we’re not.
why don’t you know?
when is the right time?
the line delivery here is frustrated, almost accusing — this is not the way you talk to a girl you claim to love. this is the irritation of a long-promised reward that continues to be denied, something you wanted but cannot yet possess. this is eerily, intensely reminiscent of real-world gender dynamics, and it continues to be reinforced when katara responds according to the same gendered script:
aang, i don’t know.
we’re in the middle of a war. this isn’t the right time.
i’m sorry but right now, i’m just a little confused.
katara gives neither a yes nor a no but a neutral, noncommittal in-between. her tone and body language are apologetic yet clearly tense, uncomfortable — dancing that fine line most women are familiar with, of having to let down a man yet protect his feelings at the same time.
it’s one thing for the narrative of kat.aang to be misogynistic from a doylist perspective, but when the same applies within a watsonian analysis as well, that’s a far bigger problem. when you set up this dynamic for kat.aang in the show and double down on it as their last romantic interaction, you cannot then remove the implications that follow when katara inexplicably, wordlessly, obediently kisses aang in the finale:
that she loved him because she felt she had to.
because that is the underlying societal expectation of this particular dynamic, the same expectation the show itself has set up within the advice aang receives: that a woman’s affections are owed to the man who fights for them, and if he fulfils his obligations in pursuing her, she will fulfill hers in turn by dutifully rewarding him.
as with women in the real world, no choice katara makes in her world is free of the delicate, insidious entanglement of social pressures and gendered expectations that underlie and drive those choices, even subconsciously.
so yes — katara chose aang. but as the show ends with no insight on her part as to the nature of this choice, the question still remains: did she choose him freely, joyfully, unfettered and unburdened by the weight of expectation? or did she choose him as the girl who always did what had to be done, who took on duties that she was too young to shoulder for the sake of the people she loved, who could never let down the child she fiercely, lovingly protected from the moment she met him?
I agree Aang was definitely entitled to Katara at times and super self righteous when it came to her. That being said I never saw it as she was being forced to love him. Yes was she probably being pressured a little bit, yes. But at the end of the day it felt like she always loved Aang. Their kiss didn't make sense in the finale because she didn't spend any time with Aang during it but it made sense in the context of the show. It could've been less of a trophy moment if she and him had actually spent time in the finale together but still. It was a "yay the war is over and we're finally safe" moment. She finally felt safe and less burdened to be with him. Yes she looked out for him in a motherly way, but that's because of the way she was raised. She was used to having to look out for people like that. She's a compassionate and caring person and she even looks out for Zuko like that, as seen in the finale when she was comforting him about Iroh. Aang was the one that encouraged her to let loose and not be so worried all the time. There isn't that big of a maturity gap between them, its just one was never able to be a kid and the other was. Aang helped Katara realize that she was still a kid who deserved to have fun. The execution of the ship really could have been better, because the kiss felt like it came out of nowhere in the context of the finale but overall I don't feel like she was forced or pressured. The writers did her dirty in a lot of aspects but in the actual context of falling for Aang, I don't think they did. I'm honestly not a Kataang shipper and think they have issues particularly with the treatment of Katara in LOK and the comics but I don't think it was ever that one-sided or forced. That being said this is my opinion, and you're entitled to yours.
Does anyone else have a huge shock when going from small fandoms to big fandoms. Because wdym I went from Tales of Arcadia's 3,000 focus on Ao3 to marvel's 500,000.
As there are so many bad things happening in the world right now, i thought we could all use a little more NotEnrique shenanigans in our lives ( I, for one, most certainly do! ). Stay safe all my friends 💚 - and, hopefully, enjoy this little changeling i made for you (and yes, he is swimming in glug 🍹)
Will never be ok with the fact that we never saw him again after Troll hunters.
Sabrina Carpenter's Grammy Nominations
I'm so happy my girl finally got nominated. Even though Short n Sweet wasn't my favorite album of hers I'm just so happy my girl's finally getting the recognition she deserves. That being said, I really wish Emails I Can't Send got this recognition. Best album of 2022, and deserved aoty, I said what I said. Truly some of the most amazing song writing I've ever listened to and the VULNERABILITY. Truly her best work and it resonates with something deep inside me. This album reintroduced me to Sabrina after stopping listening to her as a regular listener after Singular Act 2. Let me just say it changed my life, developed my music taste into what it is today and dare I say saved me. Maybe I'm being over dramatic and emotional but truly, that album means the world to me. While I'm so happy that Short n Sweet is a success, I just wish some of that had gone to other eics songs as well instead of just Nonsense and Feather. But omg, Nonsense or Vicious deserved pop song of the year. Anyway super happy for the Espresso and Short n Sweet nominations and am soo proud of my girl. Been a fan since gummy bears and Sofia the First.
My Taylor Swift Album Ranking
Honestly there are a few songs on The Tortured Poets Department that I love and ironically my least favorite song is on Lover but still lol.
***TRIGGER WARNING OPINIONS
The Dragon Dance
I just feel like Katara and Zuko would have the PETTIEST beef regarding Aang. They are friends, and they don’t harbor any actual problems with each other, but the rivalry and butting heads persists. They both think the other is trying to take Aang away from them. Like:
Katara: Zuko what are you doing here?
Zuko: I just came by to see my BEST FRIEND Aang. We’re having boys night tonight.
Katara: Oh, my BOYFRIEND and I are actually going out on a date tonight!
Zuko: That’s strange. I don’t remember him MENTIONING you!
Katara: Hahaha! That’s probably because—
Aang: Hey, I’m glad you guys could make it! Are you both ready to go?
Katara and Zuko: What.
Favorite Grishaverse Couple?
Gonna be so honest. Definitely expected Kanej to win and Malina to lose lol.
Hopefully this reaches the target audience.
It feels like people baby Nari too much in Tales of Arcadia. Most of the fan fiction I've read portray her like a little girl and Douxie's younger sister. She's also a pacifist in most of these and I feel like that's just not accurate at all to her character. Like girl didn't hesitate to kill Skrael to protect everybody lol. Not to mention at the Battle of Kill ahead, she was an active part in everything the Order did. Like she wasn't being forced until after that battle specifically. Overall she did many bad things and I feel like people brush over this or treat her like a stupid person who was childish. She liked to have fun but she clearly wasn't stupid or weak. I feel like she had to suppress her powers for years to avoid being found which is why she appears weaker. But yah while there is a clear maturity difference between her and Merlin, there is also a clear maturity difference between him and Bellroc and Skrael. The order in general feel like younger villains than the others we've had maturity wise but this doesn't mean Nari's a child. I don't feel like she's the baby of the group or weakest one and I just feel like those descriptions of her character don't do justice to how she fled the Order and did everything in her power to stop them knowing her past.
Has anyone said this yet
evermore is a winter album, not an autumn album. reblog if you agree.
