Product Review: Etenwolf Air 3 MINI Air Pump
SATURDAY'S SULKING SALUTATIONS
Thanks for waking me up at 3 AM, dogs. Thank you for gifting me with all of the pug poo to clean up too. Once at 3 AM and again at 7 AM. Thanks for allowing me to begin another day with a load of laundry.
Grrr...
I let them out often, and make them go out just before I go to bed, but it doesn't help. I know they're aging, especially the pug, and I keep reminding myself of that every time I have to scrub the floors so I don't lose my temper.
At this very moment Lulu knows I'm in a grouchy mood so she's trying to be extra sweet. She just gave me a kiss and layed down on my feet.
Anyway. Looks like a lot of people are upset with Netflix for losing their feed last night. I'm in the middle of nowhere with fiber internet so there's no competition for bandwidth so I didn't have any problems.
I remember when the internet slowed to a crawl when school got out and all the kids in the neighborhood got online. Then again, I remember when the internet went pshhhkkkkkkrrrrkakingkakingkakingtshchchchchchchchcch. It was a long distance call. We dialed up our BBS, exchanged packets, and hung up. If you were on Compuserve or Usenet you sneered at AOL users.
I digress, but you've come to expect that. Katie Taylor and Amanda Serrano had a helluva fight last night. There was some bout after that but... eh. It went about as expected I guess. TBH I think Paul just took it easy on Tyson over the last six rounds to let the old man finish with some dignity intact.
Now if you'll excuse me I have to go check the laundry before I try and enjoy my coffee.
I love you, baby. You're a real knockout. RAWR!
Y'all have a great weekend.
Friday Flashback
FRIDAY THE FIFTEENTH
I slept better last night. Yay. The washer is already doing another load of rugs, though. Sigh.
I watched a Prime movie last night, Apocalypse Z: The Beginning of the End. It's a Spanish film that has fair ratings but my rating is a thumbs down. Action was light and it dragged on forever. If it paid off with a great ending it may have been worth it but the ending sucked too.
The most important rule of writing: your story must have a satisfactory ending. Not necessarily a happy ending where they all live happily ever after, but an ending that leaves the reader (or movie watcher) nodding to themselves, realizing it was an acceptable outcome. Take that away and it makes them feel disappointed, as if they just wasted their time with the book or movie.
That's how I felt at the end of ApocZ. Disappointed.
I suppose the same rule could apply to more than just writing. Parties, road trips, sexual encounters. Pretty much life in general. Even friendships.
Now if you'll excuse me I'm going to wrap this up before you become disappointed in it.
I love you, baby. You make life acceptable. MWAH!
Y'all have a great day.
Thursday Throwback: That time I was wearing a cat
THURSDAY THORNS AND THISTLES
The pug has trouble climbing up the back steps thank to her arthritis, though it looks like the glucosamine is beginning to help after several months. Last night I bent over to help her ascend, and that was a mistake.
My back ached and I was having trouble catching my breath and I had to sit down. I just put it off to being an out-of-shape old man. I fell asleep in the recliner (as usual), then moved to the bed at 1 AM. At two the back was hurting so bad that I moved back to the recliner, turned on the heat and massager, and fell asleep again.
At four I woke up again and the back felt better. I stumbled to bed, noticing that Morning Mark would have some pug poop to clean up. It took a bit to fall asleep again. I woke up at 6:45, telling myself just ten more minutes and then I'd get up. That ten minutes took an hour.
Morning Mark got up and discovered that the pile of pug poop had more than doubled in size and he spent a good chunk of the morning scrubbing floors before he could even have coffee. There's also a load of laundry going with rags, rugs, and piddle pads getting refreshed for the next go round.
The back is feeling okay at the moment but I'm being cautious with it. The pug gets scooped up and carried inside like a football instead of bending over and lifting her up each step like I did last night.
I was grouchy this morning thanks to the trouble sleeping and the mile long path of pug poop to clean (did I mention she has to pee and poop while she's walking?) but I made sure I didn't take it out on her. I took it out on Lulu instead.
HA! Just kidding. I took it out on the neighbor's kittens.
I love you, baby. Thank you for being a bright ray of sunshine. MWAH!
Y'all have a great day.
