Just finished the cover for 2024 MXTX Food Zine!

@mxtxfoodzine contains 55 recipes going along with art and fanfiction as well as a printable no-title version of the cover. Releasing this November.

If anyone tries to sell you a PDF/printed copy, you are being scammed; PDF and print-ready files will be available at no cost, and you can send the print-ready versions to your local printing center for a fairly low cost if you would like a physical copy.

I had always assumed this was some extremist Christian book for kids. Turns out this is actually by a gay comic artist named Howard Cruse who passed away in 2019. This is from a 1980 short story called “Billy Goes Out” which tells the story of a man named Billy who is trying to move on with life after his partner’s untimely passing. It highlights a lot of the struggles of the LGBT community at the time. This particular frame is him remembering how he blamed himself being gay when bad things happened to him as a child. 

Anyone else kinda hoping that Ed heard about Stede’s fake death so it adds an extra layer of angst just for fun?
