Skyrim actually really did something by creating a video game grey morality™️ conflict where the issue isn't that both sides have a point it's that both sides absolutely suck balls and barely have any semblance of a point about anything. unclear if what they did was good or bad but they did do something

In a sea of games where it's like well... these people are the oppressors but they have a point cos the oppressed people are mean... these people are oppressed but they're mean... the elder scrolls v skyrim (2011) really stands out for making the main conflict be "the roman empire after being taken over by the nazi party" VS "the army of the confederate states of america as led by oliver cromwell" and then FORCING you to pledge your entire life to supporting one of them even though morally the ideal outcome of the conflict would, frankly, be everyone involved dropping dead. fascinating decisions all round

Not telling your kid they have a learning disability, chronic illness, mental illness etc. so they can “feel normal” actually does the opposite. They will not feel normal if they do not have the context to understand that their normal will be different from that of their peers.

The amount of times I’ve heard a parent say something like “I’m just not going to tell my son he has ADHD, I want him to feel normal.” HE DOES NOT. HE DOES NOT FEEL NORMAL. HE IS WONDERING WHY HE IS STRUGGLING AND COMING TO THE CONCLUSION HE IS AN IRREDEEMABLE FAILURE.

-NC Governor Candidate Mark Robinson's online posts were found, including some VERY graphic descriptions (like seriously, do not read if you're not 18) of him cheating on his wife, calling himself a black Nazi, and expressing support for reinstituting slavery. His email address was also found on Ashley Madison

-Robert F Kennedy Jr was revealed to be cheating on his wife with a reporter (and that isn't even the weirdest thing since federal law enforcement opened an investigation into him allegedly cutting off the head of a whale and taking it home with him less than 24 hours ago)

-GOP Senate candidate who is the CEO of a bank has been found accepting millions of dollars from what seem to allegedly be Mexican drug cartels.

-Finally, probably the biggest bombshell, according to multiple eyewitness testimonies within sealed sworn affadavits, Congressman Matt Gaetz allegedly invited a 17-year-old girl to a drug-fueld sex party

And we haven't even hit October, folks. Again, these are all still breaking news stories, so things are subject to change, but oh man oh man.

Tennessee Representative Mark Greene has been accused by his wife in a group chat with other legislators of having an affair with a woman about half his age.

Chris Rufo, who invented the "CRT" panic and has been a driving force of bigotry and hatred for godless liberals was actively on Ashley Madison, aka "the cheating site" after his wife had a baby.

The biggest one in my opinion is RFK's affair because:

This asshole reporter who used to post racist memes about Obama wrote an extensive article claiming Joe Biden has dementia and is unfit for office for New York Magazine and she was HAVING AN AFFAIR with RFKJr. at the time.

Do you get that? One of the prominent reporters for a widely regarded magazine who wrote one of the longest, most detailed articles claiming Joe Biden was unfit to be president, an article that got cited by many other journalists as evidence they weren't just gossiping and going off rumors, WAS INVOLVED WITH THE GUY RUNNING AGAINST BIDEN AT THE TIME. Short of being paid to write something, this is the biggest possible ethical lapse for a journalist imaginable.

In all seriousness if someone you don't know sends you a large sum of money via a payment app, don't touch it, because it's more likely to be a chargeback/fake check scam than an act of altruism. The scams work by banking on you withdrawing immediately, and then they convince you that they accidentally sent too much, which leads to you sending back real money before the original deposit bounces and your account is now in the negative for that first deposit amount in addition to what was sent back. If a significant amount of time (like, months) passes and the deposit stays, document any steps you took to ensure its legitimacy and only then treat it as safe.

This is also why using invoices as an artist or other business owner is important, the same scam happens with "overpayment".
