Peace, Love, Anarchy

@themotheroforder / themotheroforder.tumblr.com

Anarchy is not violence and chaos. Anarchy is the freedom from governments that we had no say in the creation of. The freedom to pursue our ideas without regulation and interference. To live in a peaceful world where we collaborate and communicate rather than tear each other down. Gov't is expendable, people are not.

The Antifascist turnout was better than expected. We probably ended up doubling or tripling the nazis’ numbers. So we really made it clear who the Kansas City people stand with, and they stand against the NSM, the KKK and these white supremacists espousing bigotry and hate.

Unfortunately, one Antifa sympathizer was arrested after becoming so enraged they started throwing coins at the police and nazis. But aside from that it remained peaceful and the Antifa were successful in drowning out the messages of hate and ignorance with their noise demo. You should have heard how loud we got when the nazi speaker said he wanted KC streets to run with anarchist blood. Truly deafening.

There were several groups being represented on the protest side including Kansas City Antifa, Ida B Wells Anti-Racist Coalition, IWW, Socialist Workers Party, Communist Party, etc.

But I’d stay away from Westport tonight, the nazis are down there drinking and some say they’re armed so be careful tonight folks!

If you measure the success of the New York City Police Department in terms of how many residents are angry at itdon’t trust it, say they’ve been wronged by it, or could’ve been eaten by it, the NYPD is doing great!

But by many other measures, not so much.

Last night, the arrest of two men outside of the Baisley Park Housing Projects in Jamaica, Queens led to protests and a standoff with riot police.

The NYPD claims officers spotted Raynard Fields, 27, and Corey Crichlow, 33, sitting in a car and holding drugs. When they attempted to make an arrest, the NYPD said one man pushed an officer to the ground. But residents watching the interaction said the officers were the needlessly violent ones. The NYPD apparently dragged one suspect out of his car and beat him as he lay on the ground. When the other suspect tried to help his friend, cops beat him too, residents said. According to their uncle Rev. Richard Hogan, no drugs were found on the men.

Cousin Tyniera Hogan, 32, had her phone snatched by an officer when trying to record the arrest.

(Cops) were kicking (Crichlow) in the face, stomping him, leaning on him with their knees,” said cousin Tyniera Hogan, 32. “He was trying to get up, but they kept pushing him back down … it didn’t look like he was resisting.

About 50 residents marched to the 113th precinct to protest the violence, where they were met by dozens of cops in riot gear.

I am sick of the 113th Precinct harassing the young black men in the Baisley projects,” resident Kathy Moore, 40, told the Daily News.

The protest ended peacefully, but tensions with the NYPD have been increasing over the past few months.

The NYPD has also been in the hot-seat recently over the shooting of 16-year-old Kimani Gray in Brooklyn. The officers involved in that incident had previously been accused of civil rights abuses, and witnesses said that Gray was running away from cops when he was shot, not pointing a gun at them, as the NYPD claimed.

The St. Paul Principles

1. Our solidarity will be based on respect for a diversity of tactics and the plans of other groups. 2. The actions and tactics used will be organized to maintain a separation of time or space. 3. Any debates or criticisms will stay internal to the movement, avoiding any public or media denunciations of fellow activists and events. 4. We oppose any state repression of dissent, including surveillance, infiltration, disruption and violence. We agree not to assist law enforcement actions against activists and others.

FUCK THIS. You can raid our squats, but you cannot stop our communities! Solidarity with all who resist fascism.
