What I absolutely love about James Potter and Ginny Weasley is that they both had, as kids, this stupid, childish, absolutely embarrassing crush on who would turn out to be the love of their lives, but which, after character as well as relationship development, after actually getting to know the other, interact with them on a deeper level and knock them off their pedestal (because their dreamy pedestal version couldn’t hold a candle to real them) flourished and turned into very real and beautiful feelings and eventually into love.
