Smithsonite (Pink/Purple) Willemite (Green)
Scoria rock under ultraviolet containing calcite (red), hydrozincite (light blue), willemite (green/yellow) and smithsonite (pink/blue) (by someHerrings)
Visible are willemite (green), calcite (orange-red), and on some of the foreground boulders, hydrozincite (blue). Photo was taken during the April 2008 dig. The annual event has featured the illumination of the ore vein by huge SW UV lights during the evening fluorescent mineral collecting.
Willemite (green) and calcite (red) under ultraviolet. The laser beam photographs blue.
