Sophie Turner: “It was amazing!” “I was really loved the idea of the Battle of the Bastards. And I was loving the idea of Jon killing Ramsay. But then I was like, no, Sansa needs her first kill and it has to be Ramsay. No one else but her. And when he basically says, ‘He’s yours.’ I’m like, ‘Yes!’ She leaves him for dead, walks away doesn’t even watch him die. It’s such a great scene, so well written, and it’s so great to be able to have my first kill.”
take me from the dark (let your love surround me)
Summary: With nowhere else to run after her world collapses around her, Sansa goes home to the family that she has left and the life she never thought she’d live again. With two of her siblings still taking part in the family business, she finds that she can’t escape it either, especially when she meets a man with an equally dark past. A man with scars on the inside and out, just like her. She finds herself drawn closer and closer the more that she learns about him and the more she reveals about herself, passing the point of no return.

You suggested one-on-one combat, didn’t you? I’ve reconsidered. I think that sounds like a wonderful idea.

How on _Earth_ can anyone read ASoIaF and come to the conclusion that GRRM glorifies war and believes that Imperialism is good?!
You are asking the wrong girl mate lol.
I would venture though that if you spend about an hour reading the shit that the True Fanboys™ on reddit and worg come up with, you will probably come up with something like an answer.
I mean, GRRM has said that in the series he wanted to show “both the glory and the gore” of war (or something like that, I’m sure I’m quoting it wrong). But it seems like there is this trend of really latching on to the whole glorification thing, when there is also so much tragedy that has come from it. So much pain and loss and trauma…
- Robb was murdered at his own wedding along with his mother
- Rickon and Bran were forced to flee their own home because it was invaded and was no longer a safe place for them
- Arya has essentially become a child soldier
- Sansa was basically a POW
- The WotFK also (literally) lived up to the old adage of “turning brother against brother” with the Baratheons, and lead to Renly’s death at Stannis’ hand (idc how much they didn’t get along or didn’t like each other… killing your own brother has got to be rough)
- Characters like Jaime have to live with PTSD
- Innocents like Elia and her children paid the ultimate price in a battle they had no hand in
And that’s not even making a DENT in the examples of how war takes and ruins the lives of the people affected by it. It’s heartbreaking and it’s tragic.

sooo i am watching this episode of Dateline rn and the woman they are interviewing somehow wrestled her attacker’s knife away from him and then stabbed him multiple times in the head and face because that’s how they kill the evil zombies on The Walking Dead... “you have to kill their brain.”
and frankly it might be one of the most gotdamn metal af things i have ever heard in my life.
I keep hearing stories about you, bastard. The way people in the North talk about you, you’re the greatest swordsman who ever walked. Maybe you are that good. Maybe not.
This isn’t the Ark, and this isn’t the ground, either. There is no blood must have blood.

Well, clearly you failed 9th grade Social Studies.
You know... I honestly don’t remember how did in 9th grade Social Studies?
I did okay majoring in Political Science and American Government in undergrad though. I graduated summa cum laude so I figure I must have learned something?
Law school also went alright I guess? I did somehow manage to get an article about the constitutionality and modification of excessive force laws through out the 50 states placed in a national publication. And I also managed to pass the Bar Exam.
But yeah it’s totally possible I failed 9th grade social studies tbh. I was a little shit when I was 15 and gave no fucks.
