He smiled, and his face was the sun. Now it’s midnight and I’m still waiting for it to rise again, knowing it never will.

To say the house music leads them is to say that the wind steers the birds. No: birds use the wind, just as Lincoln and Octavia use the bass beats of the club as a glorified metronome. The roll of Lincoln’s hips, the grip of his hands on her waist, the beads of sweat on Octavia’s neck and chest – that’s all them. The music is just an afterthought.
•I Am The Martyr & She Is The Sunlight
I still don’t know how to react to last night’s episode…
From the moment we met him, Lincoln was consistently one of my absolute favorite characters.
Lincoln, who was brave and compassionate and unfailingly kind. Who was courageous and reckless and selfless all to protect a bunch of people he barely knew, but still cared for with his whole heart. A group of misfit kids who fell from the sky and who were just trying to survive, who he made his people because he understood what it was to be an outcast. Brave, selfless, fearless, heroic Lincoln who refused to get knocked down and who always got back up.
Lincoln, who protected a lost and hurt sky girl, who risked his life for her without even knowing her name. Who fell in love with Octavia and taught her how to fight and feel and live. Who was by her side and held her hand as she grew from Octavia of the Sky People, a child who was punished just for being born, to Octavia kom Skaikru, who was fierce and strong and never backed down, and who knew that fierce strength was in her all along. Lincoln, who loved Octavia with his whole heart, and who made her people his and fought to protect them by her side, who grew to love them just as much as she did. Lincoln, who wanted a better life for himself and Octavia, who saw her as his future, who wanted to be free to spend the rest of his life loving her in peace. Who was willing to work so hard for peace between their people so he could do that. Who loved Octavia with enough desperate, reckless, abandon to last a life time. But whose life was cut tragically short, before he ever got to make that future he wanted for himself and the woman he loved a reality.
Lincoln was a beautiful, dynamic, walking contradiction. He was a ruthless, burly, tattooed warrior with insides made of pure marshmallow fluff. He was the most precious, and most deadly, cinnamon roll there ever was. He was stoic, and thoughtful, and often quiet, but when he spoke those words had weight and they spoke volumes. He was fiery and passionate and always stood up for what he believed was right, even if he was standing alone. For so long he lived in solitude, cut off from his people, and then surrendered himself because he refused to let anyone die for him.
And I credit all of my love for Lincoln to Ricky Whittle, who was the absolute essence of Lincoln, who created Lincoln and brought him to life more than any script or director ever could. He had a poise and a presence that refused go unnoticed. He was captivating and compelling and charismatic, he truly made the role of Lincoln what it was. Just like Lincoln made everyone around him better, Ricky made the show better. I love Ricky for acting the absolute fuck out of a guest starring role. For throwing his heart and soul into what was supposed to be a background character, and turning him into someone who we will never forget. I am so heartbroken, it will never be the same without out him. Best of luck and best wishes Ricky, in everything you do!
Reshop Lincoln kom Trikru, yu gonplei ste odon. And thank you for everything Ricky Whittle, from the bottom of my heart thank you for Lincoln.

They don’t really talk much, but it’s a signal to everyone else, apparently, that Clarke, and by extension Lincoln, are no longer off-limits. Not that Lincoln ever was, really–Hufflepuffs are loyal, after all, and his housemates stuck by him–but he insisted on bringing Clarke with him when he went anywhere, and once everyone else realized that, he stopped being asked to parties and study sessions. Third year, the invitations start returning, and it stops being just the two of them against the world. Clarke starts taking Arithmancy and makes friends with a couple Ravenclaws, Raven and Monty, and Lincoln bonds with Monroe and Indra in Care of Magical Creatures. He was already kind of friends with Nathan Miller, one of his fellow Hufflepuffs, but Miller is friends with Bellamy too, so a week before Christmas, Miller sits down next to him and says, “You know Bellamy has a ridiculous crush on your friend, right?”
