three + three = six
With six characters having Point Of View chapters in A Game Of Thrones / The Winds Of Winter or A Dance With Dragons, there are two groups: Heads Of The Dragon / The Apprentices.
The Three Heads Of The Dragon (Tyrion, Daenerys & Jon) have been in positions of strong leadership, has had mothers who have died in childbirth, are either Targaryens (Jon & Daenerys) or have strong dragon imagery within their narratives (Tyrion), have had a lover die (Khal Drogo, Shae & Ygritte), have dealt with threats and hold the most POV chapters in A Dance With Dragons.
Bran, Arya & Sansa Stark make up three Apprentices. As they all have and / or mentor figures that are alive (and are seen by many readers to be abusive or manipulative). They are also rather young (having POVs under the age of 12 in A Game Of Thrones). All three are kind, compassionate, struggle with low self esteem / depression, true born Starks and presumed dead by some, are no longer in the North (kingdom). They are all learning skills that will impact and shape the future.
All six will impact on the upcoming war with the Whitewalkers.
