#this is exactly what i love about this movie#it shows the characters living#eating and drinking#the whole movie has a messy realism to it that you don’t find in other adaptations#i think the director might have said as much in an interview idk#but it really shows#and look at all the low shots of the table#it really gets the audience in there with the family (via @ladymarianor) 

#also the entire family is messy #their house is messy wtith stuff everywhere #ribbons and bonnets and shoes spread #the bennets are shown tired and hungover the morning after a ball #elizabeth is shown with her hair down and frizzy and mud on her hem #it’s so beautiful because many scenes are so realistic #i see a family that act like normal families #with normal mess and normal feelings #rather than perfect make up with a perfect room #i just love this movie so much
