I love people on my dash pointing out the various references to earlier episodes because you can literally feel the love the writers have for these characters and this series and it's like...the love is stored in the war room
#YES!!!#there were so many tidbits and I was honestly shocked#like#some of this stuff they haven’t even brought up since like Gally 5 or 6#and Time War hardly mentioned ANYTHING about the old series#Time War was really like trying to wipe away everything else and start with a clean slate#whereas War Room (so far) is actually embracing the entire series as a whole and yet still providing a jumping on point for new listeners#*gasp* it CAN be done!!#Gallifrey spoilers#gallifrey#gallifrey war room

pandora killing wynter and andred seems almost designed to target leela? leela has to bury two of maybe three people on gallifrey who actually tolerate or trust her, and killing andred drives romana and leela apart. it gets even worse when you remember leela is romana's bodyguard, and pandora was betrayed by her bodyguard, so it reads as a very twisted form of revenge. except leela would never betray romana, but romana is forced by pandora into betraying leela...

Big Finish is bringing the Ninth Doctor back. Okay, AWESOME. Completely amazing. They literally didn’t need to do anything else but CYBERMEN and THE FREAKIN BRIGADIER like they really didn’t have to pull out all the stops for this but they just did That, didn’t they?
