DOCTOR WHO | Flatline (8.09) // Hell Bent (9.12)
The Doctor definitely has fun facts memorized about every number.
Okay so I was watching Flatline today and towards the end of it my roommate walked into in the living room and sat down next to me to eat. Now, my roommate doesn't know much about Doctor Who, only little bits she's seen me watching and stuff that I've told her about it. So when it got to the part where the Doctor's on his last leg when the TARDIS has no more power and he's saying his final words to Clara, my roommate said, completely seriously, "Is he going to combust now?" And I lost it. I knew she meant regeneration, but the phrasing was just perfect.
“At one point he held out his hand from the tiny TARDIS and she held it for comfort…ahhhh.” - #AskJamieMathieson (x)
A missed opportunity so I ended up doodling it before my meeting!
A hidden treasure I just learned about, both in terms of the art, but also the comment by Flatline writer Jamie Mathieson about a cut moment from the episode. (The context: originally Clara was going to be somewhat less sure of herself in the “Doctor Clara” role, so the two held hands.)
goodbye, clara: favourite episodes [8/10]
